We offer end-to-end solutions which makes us a one-roof solutions provider.Job Summary: Potential Engineering is looking for an experienced Design Lead to head the mechanical design function and lead a team of design engineers. The role involves providing technical leadership, ensuring design accuracy, and driving standardization across engineering processes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in industries such as Oil & Gas, Wastewater Treatment, Robotics etc., or similar sectors.Key Responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and manage a team of mechanical design engineers.Create product strategy in alignment with the organization and the CTO.Review, validate, and approve engineering drawings, 3D models, technical documentation, IOMs and BOM. Final sign off and ownership of on all Design Documents .Provide technical guidance and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the design function.Drive standardization across the Design Team in all aspects  right from creation to data consolidation and conservation.Oversee technical calculations, simulations, and design validations.Ensure effective use of design and analysis tools such as SolidWorks and ANSYS.Coordinate with cross-functional teams including project, production, procurement, and quality.Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of design outputs as per project requirements.Drive continuous improvement in design processes and engineering efficiency.Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.Required Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).15 years of total work experiencewith at least 10 years of experience in mechanical design.& minimum 3 years of experience of managing a design team of at least 5 members Proven experience in Oil & Gas, Wastewater Treatment, Robotics, etc, or similar process/industrial sectors.Strong hands-on expertise in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and engineering design practices.Deep understanding of technical calculations, simulations, and design validation.Key Skills & Competencies:Strong leadership and team management skillsExcellent technical and analytical capabilitiesHigh attention to detail and qualityProcess-driven and structured approachStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work in a project-driven, deadline-oriented environmentPreferred:Experience in design standardization and SOP developmentExposure to international design codes and standardsExperience in handling multidisciplinary engineering projects   Employment Type: Full-timeDepartment: Engineering/Design
