With deep domain knowledge of the aviation ecosystem, we offer end-to-end ground handling services such as passenger and baggage handling, ramp handling, aircraft interior cleaning, load control and flight operations, and cargo handling services for general, perishable, transshipment, express courier and special cargo.JOB PURPOSEThe Safety Executive (E1) supports the Safety Manager in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant day-to-day operations. The role is responsible for monitoring ramp and terminal activities, identifying hazards, reporting unsafe conditions, coordinating incident investigations, and reinforcing the organization’s Safety Management System (SMS). The position acts as a key link between operational teams and the Safety Department, promoting proactive safety behavior and continuous improvement.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES- Monitor operational areas to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and SOP violations.- Collect factual data related to safety violations, hazards, accidents, and near misses.- Serve as communication link between operations and the Safety Department.- Participate in or conduct incident investigations, including root cause analysis.- Submit investigation reports with CAPA recommendations.- Ensure consistent accident, incident, and near-miss reporting by operational teams.- Assist in operational incident investigations as required.- Report any unsafe or abnormal events immediately to the Safety Officer/Manager.- Monitor staff activities and escalate unsafe behaviors for corrective action.- Support audits, inspections, toolbox talks, and safety campaigns.- Assist in SMS documentation, record-keeping, and compliance reporting.- Support delivery of safety trainings and awareness communication.- Take on assignments delegated by Safety Manager and assume additional responsibilities as needed.- Facilitate active participation and coordination for Emergency Response Exercise, drills, table top, etc.- Responsible and accountable for safety, quality, and security of operations in assigned areas.- Report occurrences violating safety, security, or operational standards to supervisors.EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognized university.- Additional safety certifications (SMS, QMS, NEBOSH, IOSH, Industrial Safety, Aviation Safety) preferred.RELEVANT EXPERIENCE- Minimum 12 months of experience in civil aviation.- Experience in Ramp Supervision preferred.- Computer proficiency is compulsory.PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS & BEHAVIOURS- Physically fit with stamina suitable for airside operations.- Fluency in spoken and written English.- Strong people management and supervisory skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.- Team player capable of leading cross-functional groups.- Adaptable to computerized reporting and tracking systems.- Capable of conducting incident investigations and tracking CAPA closure.- Demonstrated professionalism, discipline, and positive attitude.
