Principal Technology Engineer, Power Electronics in Photovoltaic (PV) Department: Technology ServicesLocation: Remote, IndiaJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Principal Technology Engineer specializing in Power Electronics and MV/HV Electrical systems in Photovoltaic (PV) utility-scale plants to support the expansion of our Technology Services team.In this role, you will act as a technical leader and subject matter expert, contributing to the development, execution, and optimization of technical advisory services across solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects globally.We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer with strong expertise in transformers and inverters and other power electronic systems in utility-scale PV plants (MV/HV systems, substations for renewable energy projects), along with familiarity with IEC and industry standards, manufacturing process and proven experience working closely with developers, investors, and key project stakeholders, while also driving service innovation, engineering excellence, and client engagement.You will join STS, a global leader in renewable energy, part of a dynamic group of companies operating across 16 countries in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Our team members, like you, are driven by a passion for renewable energy, technology, innovation, quality, and sustainability, working together to make a meaningful, long-lasting impact on the world.Position OverviewAs the Principal Technology Engineer, Power Electronics, you will serve as a key technical expert in the development and delivery of services related to power electronics in the field of photovoltaics, with special attention to inverters, transformers, PCA, grid connections, switchgear, and other power electronics equipment. You will support the design and refinement of innovative technical solutions, ensure efficient and effective delivery of services, and integrate power electronics technologies into client solutions.
