Job Description

Role: Procurement ExecutiveOrganisation: Jio University Location: Ulwe Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, On PayrollA Procurement Executive manages the end-to-end purchasing process, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective, timely acquisition of goods and services. Key responsibilities include monitoring vendor performance, maintaining inventory levels, managing procurement documentation, and analyzing market trends to optimize procurement strategies while adhering to company policies. Key ResponsibilitiesSourcing & Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while maintaining strong, productive relationships with existing vendors.Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure best-value purchasesPurchasing Operations: Prepare, review, and process purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid disruptions.Cost Management & Analysis: Analyze spending patterns, market trends, and cost-saving initiatives to meet budgetary constraints.Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal standards, company policies, and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records and prepare weekly/monthly reports. Required Skills and QualificationsEducation: A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or , in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience: Generally, 4-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse market data, interpret, and make informed purchasing decisions.Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), e-procurement tools (e.g., Ariba), and MS Office (especially Excel).Negotiation & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for negotiating with vendors and collaborating with internal departments.Knowledge: Familiarity with Incoterms, import/export regulations, and contract management.
