As we grow our network security practice, we are looking for a skilled Network & Firewall Engineer with strong Fortinet expertise to join our team and own firewall engineering across client environments.About the RoleThis is a hands-on technical role. You will design, implement, and manage network infrastructure and firewall solutions — with Fortinet FortiGate as your primary platform. You will own firewall policy management, perform rule reviews and security audits, and serve as the internal SME for all Fortinet-related queries and escalations across client accounts.Reports to: Head of Cybersecurity / Network Practice Lead Experience: 3+ years in networking with strong Fortinet hands-on Key Responsibilities→ Design, implement, and manage Fortinet FortiGate firewalls — act as the SME for all Fortinet-related implementations, troubleshooting, and client guidance→ Administer FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer for centralised policy management across multi-site deployments→ Configure IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, and SD-WAN solutions on FortiGate→ Perform firewall rule base reviews, policy optimisation, and security audits against CIS benchmarks→ Design and manage switching and routing infrastructure — VLANs, OSPF, BGP, high availability→ Troubleshoot network and security incidents end-to-end, including P1 on-call response→ Maintain detailed network diagrams, configuration documentation, and change records for all managed environments→ Collaborate with the SOC team during active incidents requiring network-layer investigation or containmentRequired Qualifications→ 3+ years of hands-on experience in networking — switching, routing, and firewall management→ Strong expertise with Fortinet FortiGate — policy management, HA, VDOMs, VPN, SD-WAN→ Solid understanding of routing protocols — OSPF and BGP in enterprise environments→ Proficiency with VLANs, STP, LACP, and network segmentation design→ Strong grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and core networking protocols→ Experience with firewall rule reviews, policy cleanup, and configuration audits→ B.E./B.Tech (CS/IT/ECE/Telecom), BCA, MCA, or equivalentPreferred Qualifications→ Fortinet NSE 4 or above (NSE 7/8 highly regarded), CCNA, or CCNP→ Experience with additional firewall vendors — Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, or Check Point→ Exposure to IDS/IPS, WAF (FortiWeb, F5), or cloud networking (AWS, Azure)→ Basic scripting in Python or Ansible for network automation→ Familiarity with SIEM log integration from firewall platformsWork Style & Culture FitWe are looking for someone who is methodical, precise, and takes ownership of the environments they manage.
