Job Summary:We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior ETL Tester with strong SQL expertise, Data Warehouse Testing (DWT) exposure, and domain knowledge in Equity/Capital Markets. The candidate will be responsible for validating data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting high-quality data delivery for financial systems.Position: Senior ETL TesterExperience: 6-9 yearsWork Mode: Remote (WFH)Required Technical Skills:Strong hands-on experience in SQL (complex queries, joins, aggregations, subqueries)Experience in ETL Testing (data validation, source-to-target testing)Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts (facts, dimensions, star/snowflake schema)Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Ab Initio)Good understanding of data reconciliation and data quality checksExposure to Capital Markets / Equity Markets (trade lifecycle, securities, pricing, etc.)Familiarity with testing methodologies (functional, regression, UAT support)Experience working with large datasets and performance tuningBasic knowledge of scripting (Python/Shell) is a plusKey Responsibilities:Perform end-to-end ETL testing including data extraction, transformation, and loading validationValidate source-to-target mappings and ensure data completeness and accuracyWrite and execute complex SQL queries for data validation and reconciliationAnalyze business requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test casesIdentify, log, and track data defects/issues and work with developers for resolutionPerform data integrity, data quality, and regression testingValidate data warehouse structures (fact/dimension tables, data marts)Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholdersSupport UAT and production validation activitiesEnsure compliance with financial data standards and governanceGood to Have:Experience in Banking DomainKnowledge of financial instruments (stocks, derivatives, bonds)Exposure to risk and compliance reportingExperience with automation tools (Selenium, Python-based frameworks for ETL testing)Familiarity with BI/Reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, Cognos)Exposure to Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive)Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesExperience in Agile/Scrum environmentsCertifications in Data Warehousing, Testing, or Capital MarketsSoft & Analytical Skills:Strong communication skills (verbal & written) to interact with business and technical teamsExcellent problem-solving ability and attention to detailAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentGood time management and ability to handle multiple prioritiesProactive mindset with ownership and accountabilityAdaptability to work in fast-paced and dynamic environmentsStakeholder management and collaboration skillsAttention to detail and accuracy when analyzing informationStrong data analysis and interpretation skills
