Job Description

This is 100% remote. However, this candidate needs to work 6PM IST - 3AM IST.Salary/Rate: $10-$12/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.As a Sr. Quality Engineer in Order Management System(OMS) - Payments Technology portfolio, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the payment systems that support both in-store and online/customer support transactions. This position will primarily focus on existing OM - Payments which includes Billing, Payment Systems, Loyalty, Sales Audit and GL applications that are on AS/400 to be migrated to Blue Yonder in near future. You will be responsible for end-to-end testing methodologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical leadership to improve the performance and quality of payment systems.We are prioritizing the search for a Senior Quality Engineer with strong core payments expertise. The change in direction stems from our decision to switch payment providers, necessitating an expert with in-depth knowledge of payment testing and AS/400 systems.The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert (SME) in core payment testing, with a solid foundation in payment systems, AS/400, and strong automation experience.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for all aspects of testing and Quality Engineering through the full project/sprint lifecycle (from conception through implementation) under the direction of the Sr. Manager - Quality EngineeringDevelop a deep understanding of end-to-end business processes and transaction flows across integrated systems within assigned functional areas.Own manual test script development and execution, data sourcing/data provisioning, defect analysis, and ensuring adherence to defined Test strategies and test results documentation practisesAutomate regression test suites, converting manual tests into automated coverage where applicable; design new automation frameworks when required and enhance existing frameworks/scripts to support application changes.Partner closely with the Product Managers, Application Developers and operational end-users to ensure that test scripts are developed and/or modified to cover new functionality and/or enhancements that are introduced into the production system on an ongoing basis.Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by provisioning test data in lower environments and serving as the payments testing SME, guiding business users on technical and system-related aspects of UATPerform initial triage and analysis of defects identified during the testing cycle and escalate issues as required to the functional support teams for resolution. Ensure defects are logged, tracked, and managed in JIRA through resolution,Analyze production defects and ensure appropriate controls and regression coverage are implemented to prevent recurrence.Apply subject matter expertise to proactively identify quality risks, develop, and implement techniques to improve overall product and process quality.Leverage test automation to minimize the time and effort required for manual regression test execution.Maintain end-to-end traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects using JIRA/other test management toolsProvide accurate effort estimates in Scrum meetings and report timely status updates. Prepare and maintain KT documentation for onboarding new team members and update the documentation from time to timeCollaborate closely with offshore testing team members responsible for executing tests.
