Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Lactation Consultant based in New Delhi. The Lactation Consultant will provide guidance and support for breastfeeding, including assessing and addressing lactation difficulties. The role will involve working closely with new mothers, offering education and developing tailored plans for optimal maternal and infant health outcomes. In addition, the consultant will collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver holistic care services. QualificationsProfessional certification as a Certified Lactation Counselor or equivalent credentialsExpertise in lactation support, including breastfeeding techniques and addressing related challengesKnowledge and experience in Neonatal Intensive Care and Maternal-Child HealthFoundational understanding of Medicine related to maternal and newborn careStrong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate supportAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare teamExperience with patient education and counseling is a plusBachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant healthcare discipline is preferred
