Role ObjectiveOwn creative direction end-to-end for Whack Sports across organic content, paid ads, and campaigns, ensuring ideas are high-impact, on-brand, structured, and executed on time through a multi-skill creative team.Core ResponsibilitiesCreative Strategy & IdeationOwn the big creative ideas across:Organic social (Reels, Shorts, YouTube, TikTok)Paid ads (Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube)Campaigns (Sales, launches, BFCM, Boxing Day, Cricket season)Translate brand goals, offers, and performance insights into scroll-stopping creative conceptsBalance brand storytelling + performance-led creativityEnsure all creative aligns with Whack Sports’ tone - Sporty, bold, Aussie, credible, slightly cheekyCreative Direction & Quality ControlSet creative guidelines for:Visual styleHooks & opening framesOn-screen textVO tone & scriptingReview and approve:ConceptsScriptsEditsFinal exports (organic + ads)Ensure consistency across platforms while allowing native executionTeam Management & WorkflowManage and coordinate:VideographerEditor(s)Script resourceDesigners (if any)Create clear briefs for each role (no ambiguity)Maintain structured workflows:Weekly deliverablesDeadlinesFeedback loopsEnsure output velocity stays high without quality dropCampaign Planning & ExecutionLead creative planning for:SalesSeasonal momentsProduct launchesWork closely with:Performance marketing teamSocial media managerFounder / leadershipTranslate performance feedback into creative iterationCreative Ops & ScaleBuild repeatable creative systems:Winning formatsHook librariesScript templatesAd variationsIdentify what’s working and double downContinuously test new formats, trends, and anglesSkills & Experience4-8 years in creative direction / content / adsStrong understanding of performance creatives (not just “pretty”)Experience managing multi-skill creative teamsDeep knowledge of short-form video psychologyAbility to think strategically + execute practicallyProven ability to build, lead, and run a creative teamBonus: Experience in sports or cricket-focused brands is highly preferredThis Role Is NOTJust a designerJust a social media managerJust a project managerThis is a creative leader + operator.Company DescriptionWHACK Sports, founded in 2013, has evolved from a small online store into one of Australia’s leading multi-sport retailers, redefining performance-focused retail.
