Job Description

Role Objective Own creative direction end-to-end for Whack Sports across organic content, paid ads, and campaigns, ensuring ideas are high-impact, on-brand, structured, and executed on time through a multi-skill creative team. Core Responsibilities Creative Strategy & Ideation Own the big creative ideas across: Organic social (Reels, Shorts, YouTube, TikTok) Paid ads (Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube) Campaigns (Sales, launches, BFCM, Boxing Day, Cricket season) Translate brand goals, offers, and performance insights into scroll-stopping creative concepts Balance brand storytelling + performance-led creativity Ensure all creative aligns with Whack Sports’ tone - Sporty, bold, Aussie, credible, slightly cheeky Creative Direction & Quality Control Set creative guidelines for: Visual style Hooks & opening frames On-screen text VO tone & scripting Review and approve: Concepts Scripts Edits Final exports (organic + ads) Ensure consistency across platforms while allowing native execution Team Management & Workflow Manage and coordinate: Videographer Editor(s) Script resource Designers (if any) Create clear briefs for each role (no ambiguity) Maintain structured workflows: Weekly deliverables Deadlines Feedback loops Ensure output velocity stays high without quality drop Campaign Planning & Execution Lead creative planning for: Sales Seasonal moments Product launches Work closely with: Performance marketing team Social media manager Founder / leadership Translate performance feedback into creative iteration Creative Ops & Scale Build repeatable creative systems: Winning formats Hook libraries Script templates Ad variations Identify what’s working and double down Continuously test new formats, trends, and angles Skills & Experience 4-8 years in creative direction / content / ads Strong understanding of performance creatives (not just “pretty”) Experience managing multi-skill creative teams Deep knowledge of short-form video psychology Ability to think strategically + execute practically Proven ability to build, lead, and run a creative team Bonus: Experience in sports or cricket-focused brands is highly preferred This Role Is NOT Just a designer Just a social media manager Just a project manager This is a creative leader + operator .
