The organization works with low-income schools across the city to build high-quality education, exposure, and inclusion for students on the autism spectrum and other high learning needs. Brain Bristle focuses on building inclusive school environments from the ground-up, strengthening advocacy for autism, and conducting workshops and awareness programs to expand the reach and impact of its work.Role DescriptionThe Research Analyst Role is to support evidence-based program design, monitoring, evaluation, and advocacy. This role will focus on autism-specific research, inclusive education practices, and the documentation of outcomes from school-based interventions.The Research Analyst will work closely with program teams, Social Workers, and leadership to translate on-ground data into meaningful insights, research outputs, and policy-relevant knowledge.Key ResponsibilitiesRun routine and ad hoc reports on the work we do.Use standard tools and computer programs to review student progress data.Assist with data cleaning measures to ensure accuracy of data and preparation of tables.Support development of autism-specific research questions aligned with program goals.Lead basic activities such as data collection and data entry.Lead specific tasks and develop processes to ensure study activities occur effectively and efficiently.Conduct literature searches to support faculty in research efforts.Design and format papers/publications.Assist in writing summaries of papers for release as policy briefs or other channels.Support development of white papers, case studies, and conference submissionsDraft research briefs, impact reports, and internal learning documentsOther research-centric duties as assigned.In addition to the duties above, you must have:Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methodsStrong analytical and writing skillsAbility to synthesize research into practical, actionable insightsWork with team members or study participants via Zoom on several different web-based platforms. Excellent organizational skills to juggle tasks, document steps, and guide teams, teachers and parents through the protocols, including updating online and paper files, emailing instructions, and visiting schools when needed. Some weekend or evening hours are necessary to accommodate participants, particularly families that work during the day/ week.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a related field.Prior enrolment and participation in a research-based project.
