This position is with one of our clients in India who is actively hiring candidates to expand their teams.Role: SAP Basis ConsultantLocation: Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai - OnsiteEmployment Type: Contract to HireWe are looking for a highly skilled SAP BASIS Consultant with strong expertise in S/4 HANA system conversions and Downtime Optimized Conversion (DOC) to join a critical transformation program.Role As an SAP BASIS S/4 HANA Consultant, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end S/4 HANA system conversion projects, ensuring minimal downtime, system stability, and performance optimization using DOC methodologies.ResponsibilitiesLead and execute SAP S/4 HANA system conversion projects (Brownfield approach)Plan and implement Downtime Optimized Conversion (DOC) strategiesPerform system upgrades, migrations, and landscape transformationsOptimize system performance and reduce downtime during cutoverHandle SUM (Software Update Manager) with DMO/DOC optionsCollaborate with functional, technical, and infrastructure teamsTroubleshoot complex issues during conversion and post-go-live phasesEnsure system integrity, data consistency, and compliancePrepare technical documentation and support knowledge transferRequired Skills8+ years of strong experience in SAP BASISHands-on experience in S/4 HANA system conversion with DOC optionExpertise in SUM with DMO and DOCStrong knowledge of SAP HANA database, architecture, and migrationExperience in system refresh, client copy, and transport managementCertification:E_S4HCON2023 (SAP S/4HANA Conversion & System Upgrade) – MandatoryValid DOC Badge – MandatoryStrong troubleshooting and performance tuning skillsPreferred SkillsExperience with large-scale enterprise SAP transformationsExposure to SAP landscape architecture & cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager / ChaRMFamiliarity with automation tools and scriptingStrong stakeholder communication and project handling skills
