Talent in this role will drive initiatives focused on cost reduction, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance for a leading client in the Indian mining sector.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess and optimize sourcing and procurement processes for mining inputs, including explosives, heavy equipment, and consumablesDevelop strategies for contractor cost optimization, equipment utilization, and mine planning efficiencyAnalyze operational workflows from drilling and blasting to material handling and tailings management, identifying areas for improvementCollaborate with internal teams (procurement, operations, finance) to provide industry expertise and benchmarking insightsEnsure compliance with Indian regulatory requirements, including the MMDR Act, forest, and environmental clearancesSupport data-driven decision-making to enhance the mining operations lifecycleSkills & RequirementsExtensive knowledge of open-pit and underground mining operationsHands-on experience with sourcing and procurement in the mining sectorDeep understanding of the Indian mining supply markets and regulatory environmentProven track record in cost reduction and operational efficiency initiativesEngagement DetailsPart-time: 4–5 hours per dayEstimated length: 2–3 monthsRemote with solid overlap with PSTIf this role piques your interest, please apply to learn more about the opportunity and Toptal in general.
