The role demands strategic planning, hands-on execution, and cross-functional coordination to deliver high-quality outcomes in civil construction, electrical systems, mechanical maintenance, and compliance-based liaison activities. The Project Head will be entrusted with overseeing new capital works, managing ongoing renovation, and ensuring that all infrastructure systems remain operational, sustainable, and future-ready.Qualification: B.E./B. Tech in Civil Engineering; a postgraduate degree or diploma in Construction Management or Project Management is desirable.Required Skills:Expertise in planning, executing, and maintaining civil, electrical, and mechanical systems across large campuses or institutional projects.Strong understanding of HT/LT electrical systems, HVAC, STP/ETP units, and adherence to building codes, safety laws, and environmental regulations.Proficient in project management tools like MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD, and capable of preparing BOQs, Gantt charts, cost estimates, and compliance documentation.Experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing contractors/vendors for quality and timely execution.Exposure to green building initiatives, energy-saving projects, and effective liaison with government authorities for approvals and clearances.Required Experience: 20+ years in civil, electrical, and mechanical project execution and campus/facility management across large-scale institutions, educational campuses, or industrial projects.Key Responsibilities:Plan, execute, and monitor all new construction projects across campus—academic blocks, hostels, guest houses, internal roads, and open spaces.Review and approve architectural designs, site layouts, BOQs, and structural drawings in alignment with university development plans.Oversee daily operations of on-site contractors, engineers, and vendors to ensure time-bound and quality-assured delivery.Supervise civil maintenance, renovation, waterproofing, and upgradation of existing structures and utilities.Monitor the campus’s electrical infrastructure including HT/LT panels, distribution systems, DG sets, transformers, lighting, and UPS.Lead preventive maintenance initiatives and ensure minimal downtime of power supply systems.Ensure compliance with safety standards, load distribution norms, and energy audit recommendations.Implement automation, LED retrofitting, and green energy initiatives as applicable.Oversee installation and upkeep of HVAC systems, water pumping stations, STP/ETP units, fire-fighting systems, and campus elevators.Ensure routine servicing, AMC management, and adherence to mechanical safety protocols.Coordinate with third-party agencies for periodic inspections and performance validation.Serve as the university’s point of contact for local authorities (PWD, JDA, DISCOM, Fire Dept., Pollution Control Board, etc.) to obtain necessary project approvals, clearances, and occupancy certificates.Ensure infrastructure projects align with applicable building codes, environmental regulations, and safety laws.Prepare project execution roadmaps with Gantt charts, timelines, and cost estimates.Track and report project status, contractor performance, and CAPEX utilization to senior management.Maintain an asset register and lead annual condition audits of civil/electrical/mechanical systems.Application Process & Deadline: Mention the position you are applying for in the email subject line and send your updated CV to
