Role Title: Founder's AssociateReporting To: Jatin Varma (directly)Location: Delhi (Remote-first, with possibility of in-office support)Employment Type: Full-timeExperience Required: 1–3 yearsCTC: ₹6,00,000 – ₹7,00,000 per annumEntities Covered: Across Universe Media, TCBT India, New IP's, Consultancy et al.1) What This Role Actually IsThe title is Founder's Associate — not Executive Assistant — because that's what this role genuinely is. You won't be filing papers or fielding switchboard calls. You'll be working directly with Jatin across multiple live ventures at different stages of build, helping him stay organised, keep his commitments, and ensure things actually move forward.Jatin works from home in Delhi and operates without a traditional corporate infrastructure. The ventures he is running — Foundation Comics, TCBT India, new IP launch, and an active consultancy — each have their own stakeholders, timelines and operational demands. Your job is to hold the threads across all of them so that Jatin's attention goes where it matters most. This is an early-career role, and it is deliberately structured that way. You don't need to come in knowing everything. You need to come in sharp, organised, genuinely curious about Jatin's world, and willing to grow into the full scope of the role over time. The scope will expand as trust is established.A NOTE ON GROWTHThis role is structured as a ground-floor opportunity. Jatin's ventures are simultaneously at launch stage — Foundation Comics goes live mid-2026, new IP being built from scratch, and TCBT India is executing its first national programme. The person who joins now will have rare, direct visibility into how multiple creative businesses are built in real time.Performance, trust and expanding scope will be formally reviewed at the 12-month mark. This is a role for someone who wants to grow with the work, not just execute within it.2) Immediate Focus AreasIn the first 6 months, the role will be anchored around the three workstreams with the most immediate operational demand. Additional projects will come into scope as the role matures.2A. The Comic Book Trust Of IndiaThe Trust's inaugural Indian Comic Book Awards ceremony is scheduled for May 2026 in Mumbai — making this the most time-sensitive priority on day one.• Coordinate with the Advisory Council — scheduling, agendas, minutes and action item follow-ups• Manage the Awards programme end-to-end: submissions tracking, jury communication, ceremony logistics and vendor management• Handle all Trust communications: email, newsletter, press outreach and social media coordination• Support relationship management with government bodies, sponsors, academic partners and media2B. The Comic Book Trust Of IndiaFoundation Comics is preparing to launch 20+ comic book titles over 24 months starting June/July 2026. In parallel, Jatin is exploring IP licensing for animation and live action adaptation.• Maintain a master publishing calendar tracking title milestones — scripts, artwork, approvals, print and launch dates• Coordinate with writers, artists and creative collaborators — scheduling, follow-ups, deliverable tracking• Manage communications with printers, distributors, retailers and digital platforms• Help prepare pitch materials and decks for IP licensing conversations with studios and production houses2C. ConsultancyJatin has one active consultancy engagement and is actively pitching new clients in the media, entertainment and pop culture space.• Manage Jatin's calendar and block focused time for active consulting engagements• Research prospective clients ahead of pitches — their business, leadership and relevant context• Prepare proposals, capability documents and follow-up communications for new mandates• Maintain a simple pipeline tracker for consultancy conversations; coordinate invoicing with the accountant2D. NEW IPA new IP is being developed that would be a mix of live and digital content. This workstream will come into fuller scope from Q3 2026 onwards.• Support the content calendar for YouTube and social media — coordinating with writers, editors and creators• Liaise with production vendors and on-screen talent on shoots and deliverables• Assist with sponsorship and brand partnership outreach — decks, follow-ups, pipeline tracking• Handle event logistics for the live content as it approaches2E. PERSONAL & ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORTJatin works from home and manages a complex professional life across multiple entities. A meaningful proportion of this role involves personal and household coordination.• Manage Jatin's calendar holistically — meetings, appointments, travel, personal commitments• Support with domestic logistics.• Triage incoming correspondence — email etc — and respond on Jatin's behalf where authorised.• Act as the coordination layer between Jatin, the in-house admin person, and freelancers across projects.3). SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSESSENTIAL• 1–3 years of experience in a coordination, operations, EA, project management or production role — in any industry• Excellent written English — you will be drafting emails, decks and documents on Jatin's behalf; the quality of your writing will be visible• Strong organisational skills and a genuine need to have things not fall through the cracks• Comfortable managing external stakeholders — vendors, collaborators, media contacts — with professionalism and confidence• Discretion; you will have access to confidential information across multiple organisations and personal matters• Startup instinct — able to figure things out, work without a manual, and operate calmly in a fast-moving, unstructured environment• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets) and at least one project/task management toolPREFERRED - NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT REQUIRED• Prior experience supporting a founder, senior entrepreneur or creative professional• Familiarity with India's media, entertainment, publishing or events industry• Interest in comics, pop culture, film or storytelling — you'll find the work more interesting if you give a damn about the subject matter• Experience coordinating social media content or working with content creators4). WHO WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE?This role will suit someone who is energised by variety, not paralysed by it. On a given week you might be chasing an artist's revised comic pages, coordinating jury briefings for the TCBT Awards, booking Jatin's travel plans, and drafting a sponsorship email for the new IP. That is the job.You should be the kind of person who spots a problem before being told about it, figures out a solution before being asked, and is honest when they're stuck rather than quietly letting things slip. Jatin's working style is collaborative — he will involve you in thinking, not just execution — but he needs someone who can also run independently once the direction is clear. You do not need to be a comics fan or a Bollywood buff. But you should be curious about Jatin's world, and you should find the idea of being inside the build of multiple ventures from early stage genuinely exciting rather than merely acceptable.5). COMPENSATIONThe starting CTC for this role is ₹6,00,000 – ₹7,00,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. This is a ground-floor opportunity with a founder whose portfolio of ventures is actively expanding. Performance, trust and scope will be formally reviewed at the 12-month mark. The non-monetary proposition — direct learning across multiple creative businesses, meaningful responsibility from day one, and proximity to a founder with a well-established track record — is a genuine part of what this role offers.
