Every challenge we take on has real consequences and real impact.With a sharp focus on user obsession, ownership, and collaboration, we’re building a workplace where people thrive when they take bold bets, move fast, and build with empathy.If you’re looking to work where scale meets purpose, complexity fuels learning, and culture isn’t an afterthought, Porter is the place.Role OverviewWe are looking for an Assistant Manager – People Systems & Digitization to own and drive the effectiveness of our HR tools, including HRMS Darwinbox and Freshservice (Helpdesk).This role will act as the central owner of People systems (Darwinbox HRMS) and workflows, ensuring seamless implementation, driving adoption, strong system reliability, and continuous improvement through digitization and automation.The role requires a strong combination of system understanding, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination. You will work closely with People Operations, IT, Process teams, and external vendors to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and implement system enhancements.This is a high-ownership individual contributor role, critical to ensuring that People Processes runs on robust, scalable, and efficient systems.Key Responsibilities1. HRMS Ownership (Darwinbox)Own end-to-end Darwinbox system management and configurationManage and optimize modules across employee lifecycle (onboarding, attendance, leave, letters, etc.)Drive continuous improvements in workflows, configurations, and system usabilityEnsure system alignment with People policies and operational processes2. Helpdesk Management (Freshservice)Own and manage People Ops helpdesk workflows and ticketing systemEnsure timely resolution of employee queries within defined SLAsAnalyze ticket trends to identify process gaps and recurring issuesImprove self-service capabilities and reduce dependency on manual queries3. Issue Resolution & TroubleshootingAct as the primary owner for system-related issues and escalationsTroubleshoot workflow and system issues using structured problem-solvingRaise and manage vendor tickets for bugs, fixes, and enhancementsEnsure strong follow-through and timely closure of issues4. Vendor Management & CoordinationAct as the primary POC for Darwinbox and other system vendorsCoordinate on bug fixes, feature enhancements, and system upgradesEnsure vendor responsiveness and adherence to expected timelines and quality5. Implementation and Program ManagementDrive implementation of new HR toolsProgram Management of implementation and revamp initiatives related HRMS or similar tools6. Workflow Digitization & AutomationDrive digitization of manual People Ops processesRedesign and implement automated workflows across systemsReduce manual effort and improve process efficiency and scalability7. Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with People Operations, IT, and Process teamsCoordinate process mapping and implementation of new workflows, system changes, and enhancementsSupport UAT, rollout, and adoption of new features8. Data Accuracy & System GovernanceEnsure data integrity and consistency across systemsMaintain documentation of workflows, configurations, and system changesSupport audit readiness through clean, traceable system recordsSkills & Experience3–6 years of experience in HRMS / People Systems / HR Operations DigitizationHands-on experience with DarwinboxExperience managing helpdesk/ticketing systems (Freshservice or equivalent)Strong understanding of HR workflows and employee lifecycle processesDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot system and workflow issuesStrong attention to detail and execution rigorExposure to vendor management
