Zeno is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to own end-to-end financial operations across India and US entities, including reporting, compliance, budgeting, and audits. You will drive financial accuracy, strengthen processes, and partner with global teams to support Zeno’s growth.About ZenoAn unprecedented energy transition has begun. Zeno is building a tech platform to electrify this two-wheeler market, currently responsible for more than 4% of the world’s GHG emissions. Our mission is to accelerate the energy transition and democratize the benefits across Africa, India, and Latin America. With a focus on East Africa as a starting point, Zeno is building a new energy ecosystem with ground-up development of a fundamentally better electric motorcycle and associated battery swap network to drive a better experience for our customers.Responsibilities: Manage all financial operations for Zeno's India and US entities, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations. Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations. Support implementation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly internal reporting and budgeting processes. Maintain budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure alignment with company financial objectives. Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations, including GST and corporate taxes, and liaise with tax authorities as needed. Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely submission of required documentation. Drive enhancements and refinements of Zeno’s ERP system. Establish and improve financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency and reduce risk. Work closely with the global finance team to align local operations with Zeno's broader financial goals. Requirements: 7-10 years of experience in accounting or financial management in India, preferably at a fast-growing manufacturing industry startup. A CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification or equivalent is required. Deep knowledge of Indian state-level and central tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting standards. Experience with manufacturing, supply chain, export/import, inventory finance, and inter-company transfer pricing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy. Proven ability to manage financial operations, improve processes, and implement controls. Significant experience with ERP systems and associated workflows tied to automation. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with global and local teams. High level of reliability, integrity, and confidentiality in handling financial information. Self-starter with an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, unstructured work environment. Great to Have: Experience in the electric vehicle, clean energy, manufacturing, or technology sectors. Familiarity with Odoo as an ERP and accounting software, or other equivalent ERPs.
