The Production Head will lead operations of a Green Ammonia facility integrated with renewable hydrogen production. The role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance while managing variability in renewable energy inputs and driving sustainability targets.This position requires deep expertise in ammonia synthesis combined with exposure to green hydrogen, utilities integration, and energy optimization.Key Responsibilities1. Integrated Plant Operations (Green Hydrogen + Ammonia)Lead end-to-end operations of: Electrolyzer units (Hydrogen generation) Air Separation Unit (Nitrogen production) Ammonia synthesis loop Ensure stable production despite intermittent renewable power (solar/wind). Optimize plant load management and dynamic operation strategies. 2. Renewable Energy & Load ManagementAlign plant operations with renewable energy availability. Manage load fluctuations, ramp-up/down strategies, and energy storage integration. Coordinate with power management teams for grid/renewable synchronization. 3. Process Optimization & DigitalizationDrive advanced process control (APC) and digital monitoring systems. Optimize: Electrolyzer efficiency (kWh/kg H₂) Ammonia conversion efficiency Energy intensity per ton of NH₃ Leverage simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS / digital twins) for performance improvement. 4. Safety, Risk & ComplianceEnsure compliance with: Process Safety Management (PSM) Hydrogen safety standards (ATEX / IECEx environments) Lead HAZOP, SIL, and risk assessments for hydrogen-ammonia integration. Develop emergency response strategies for hydrogen handling systems. 5. Utilities & Offsites (Green Integration)Manage utilities including: Water treatment (RO, DM, desalination – critical for electrolysis) Cooling systems and power distribution Oversee ammonia storage, refrigerated tanks, and export terminals. 6. Export, Logistics & Port OperationsManage ammonia export operations from Duqm port. Coordinate shipment logistics for green ammonia export markets. Ensure safe handling and storage of ammonia and hydrogen systems. 7. Commissioning & Scale-upLeadPre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup of green ammonia plant Integration testing of electrolyzers and synthesis loop Coordinate with EPC contractors, technology licensors, and OEMs. 8. Reliability & Maintenance StrategyDevelop reliability strategy for: Electrolyzers (stack life, degradation monitoring) Compressors, turbines, synthesis loop equipment Plan shutdowns, turnaround, and predictive maintenance. 9. Team Leadership & Capability BuildingBuild and lead a high-performance operations team. Upskill workforce on green hydrogen and new-age technologies. Drive a culture of safety, sustainability, and innovation. 10. ESG, Sustainability & ReportingEnsure compliance with global sustainability frameworks. Track and report: Carbon intensity (near-zero targets) Energy consumption and efficiency metrics Support certification for green ammonia (e.g., RFNBO / low-carbon fuels). Key RequirementsB.Tech / BE in Chemical Engineering or related with 18–25+ years in Ammonia / hydrogen / fertilizer / petrochemical industry Proven leadership role in plant operations (GM / Head level) Experience in commissioning or operating large ammonia plants Exposure to green hydrogen / electrolyzers / renewable integration (highly preferre
