Job ScopeA successful Manager – Admission Profiling leads and mentors a team of Admission Profilers to drive high-quality lead qualification and maximize conversions for upGrad’s programs. This role plays a critical part in bridging potential learners with Admission Counsellors by ensuring effective first-level engagement, need analysis, and seamless scheduling of Video Counselling (VC) sessions.The Manager will be responsible for overseeing team performance, optimizing processes, improving lead quality, and ensuring that business targets are consistently achieved.Key Responsibilities & DutiesLead, manage, and mentor a team of Admission Profilers to achieve weekly and monthly targets.Monitor and improve team performance through regular feedback, coaching, and training sessions.Oversee lead allocation and ensure timely engagement through the auto dialer system.Ensure high-quality lead qualification by guiding the team in assessing learner intent, eligibility, and program fit.Drive team effectiveness in building rapport, trust, and credibility with potential learners.Ensure maximum conversion of qualified leads into scheduled Video Counselling (VC) sessions.Collaborate closely with Admission Counsellors to ensure smooth handover and improved enrollment outcomes.Analyze performance metrics, identify gaps, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.Maintain accurate reporting of team performance, lead status, and funnel metrics in the CRM system.Optimize processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and learner experience.Basic Eligibility CriteriaMinimum 4–6 years of experience in EdTech sales (Study Abroad experience is a plus).At least 1–2 years of experience in a team handling / managerial role.Consistent tenure of minimum 1 year in recent organizations.Graduation is mandatory (post-graduation is a plus).Proven track record of achieving and exceeding team targets.Experience working in a 6-day work week environment.Skills RequiredStrong leadership and team management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong fluency in English.Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate team members.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Expertise in objection handling, negotiation, and sales strategies.Ability to build trust with learners and drive engagement.Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.High ownership mindset with a results-driven approach.Work Timings10:30 AM to 7:30 PM (Monday to Saturday)Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Achievement of team revenue and conversion targets.Number of qualified leads and VC sessions scheduled.Conversion rate from lead to VC and VC to enrollment.Team productivity and efficiency metrics.Quality of lead qualification and learner experience.Note: KPIs may vary based on the business vertical.Why Join upGrad?Global Reach, Local Impact: Be part of a global EdTech leader with a presence in 70+ countries and over 10 million learners.Award-Winning Organization: Recognized among LinkedIn’s Top Startups (2018–2020) and ET Best Education Brand.Career Growth: Work with a high-performing team and unlock continuous learning and leadership opportunities.
