ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Field Support Engineer, you are responsible for the on-site deployment, commissioning, and ongoing support of the systems. This role encompasses the installation, configuration, and validation of equipment, remote terminal units, sensors, and associated IP networks to ensure reliable data transmission. The position requires systematic troubleshooting, adherence to engineering standards, and the delivery of technical instruction to end users, with regular travel to client facilities. You will own the entire post-sales lifecycle at the customer site, from unpacking the first crate to signing off a fully commissioned system and providing ongoing support during warranty.RESPONSIBILITIES• Perform site surveys to validate antenna locations, power, grounding, civil works and fibre paths wherever applicable.• Execute system tests at the office and prepare test reports.• Execute factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT); obtain customer sign-off along with the engineering team.• Create and update field service bulletins, quick start guides and short training videos.• Deliver on-site or remote training to technicians on device configuration, spare-part replacement and alarm response procedures.• Provide root-cause analysis (RCA) reports within stipulated time for major incidents.• Support the engineering team for testing of the systems at office or at client-site.• Feed lessons learned into engineering change requests and product roadmaps.• Maintain accurate time & expense records, service tickets and inventory.QUALIFICATION• BS or MS degree in Micro-Electronics, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline • 3–7 years hands-on experience installing and commissioning Telemetry, industrial wireless or utility communications networks.• Proficiency with test equipment: spectrum analyzer, vector network analyzer, cable analyzer, multimeter, power meter.• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs and mechanical drawings.• Working knowledge of RF propagation, antenna theory, IP networking (OSI layers 1–4), serial communications and industrial best practices.• Strong verbal and written Communication Skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member of a team, taking ownership of field tasks.• Self-starter who can manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize tasks and maintain professionalism under pressure.EMPLOYEE STATUS AND COMMITMENTS• Permanent full-time position located at our Hyderabad office, with regular on-site visits to clients and vendor locations.WHY JOIN US?• Culture of Excellence: We are committed to fostering a culture where every individual can thrive, grow, and make a difference.• Opportunities for Growth: We believe in investing in our people and providing opportunities for professional development and advancement.• Collaborative Culture: Join a collaborative and supportive work environment where your contributions are valued and recognized.• Innovative Environment: Be part of a team that thrives on innovation and is committed to pushing the boundaries of RF technology.
