Senior MongoDB DBA / Lead MongoDB Administrator Company: Fintech Location: Noida – 5 Days Work From Office (WFO) Experience:10+ Years Education : Btech Role Purpose We are looking for a highly experienced MongoDB DBA to own and manage mission-critical, high-scale MongoDB environments . This role is core to ensuring database availability, performance, scalability, and security for fintech-grade systems handling large transaction volumes. Key Responsibilities Own end-to-end administration of MongoDB databases in production Design, deploy, and manage Replica Sets & Sharded Clusters Ensure high availability, backup, recovery, and DR readiness Perform advanced performance tuning (queries, indexing, storage) Plan and execute MongoDB upgrades, migrations, and patching Implement security best practices (RBAC, encryption, auditing) Proactively monitor DB health and troubleshoot production issues Collaborate with backend, platform, infra, and SRE teams Drive capacity planning and server sizing based on growth needs Automate routine DBA tasks using Python / Bash / Shell scripting Must-Have Skills 10+ years overall experience with strong MongoDB DBA ownership Deep expertise in MongoDB architecture, internals, sharding & replication Hands-on production experience with large-scale databases Strong knowledge of backup & recovery strategies Linux system administration experience Performance troubleshooting in high-throughput environments Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills Good to Have Experience with MongoDB Atlas Exposure to AWS / Cloud infrastructure Knowledge of Kubernetes / containerized environments Experience in fintech/payments / BFSI ecosystems Exposure to other NoSQL systems (Redis, Cassandra) Work Environment 5 days work from office – Noida Fast-paced, ownership-driven engineering culture High impact role with real production responsibility
