Assistant Vice President – Underwriting (P&C Insurance)Location: Noida (NCR Preferred) | Shift: Afternoon / US ShiftExperience: 12+ YearsAbout the RoleWe are hiring an experienced Underwriting Operations Leader to manage end-to-end underwriting delivery for a global insurance client. This role requires strong domain expertise in P&C underwriting, large team leadership, and the ability to drive operational excellence and transformation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end underwriting operations (Pre & Post Issuance)Rating, Quoting, Binder creationPolicy Issuance, Endorsements, CancellationsManage and lead large teams (~150–200 FTEs) with full ownership of deliveryEnsure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and quality metricsAct as primary client interface and manage stakeholder expectationsDrive process standardization across geographies (US market focus)Handle peak cycles (renewals, reinsurance periods) with operational stabilityPartner with transformation teams to drive automation (RPA), Six Sigma, and efficiency initiativesMentor and develop underwriting talent; enable strong career progression frameworksRequired Qualifications & Skills12+ years of experience in Insurance Underwriting (P&C domain)Proven experience managing large teams (50+ direct / large span roles)Strong background in BPO/KPO environments (e.g., EXL, Cognizant, WNS, Exceedance)Deep understanding of end-to-end underwriting lifecycleStrong data handling and operational excellence mindsetExcellent communication and executive presence
