Grow Your Staff is looking for a Finance Executive for a Vancouver-based Real Estate Development Firm. This is a part-time remote role. The role will have excellent growth opportunities. You will be directly working with the team based in Vancouver, Canada. Experience required: 4- 6 years Time: Between 5:30 pm - 2:30 am IST CTC: INR 6 LPA - 8 LPALocation: RemoteType of employment: Part-time (with potential to transition into a full-time role) Responsibilities Full Cycle AccountingLead, train and develop the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teamsPrepare monthly and annual financial statementsPreparation of working papers; reconciliation of general ledger accounts and identification of required adjustmentsPrepare Weekly Bank ReconciliationPrepare and filing GST returns, payroll source deductionsReview bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salary employeesMaintain chart of accounts, GL, sub-ledgers and inter-company reconciliationsManage the financial close process (monthly/quarterly/annually), including ensuring data is accurately recorded, review journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparationPrepare and lead the budgeting and forecasting for new projects and potential acquisitionsReview and analysis of financial reportsPrepare corporate income taxProject AccountingPrepare project cashflow forecasts; update monthly for project performance changes in estimates and schedulesMaintain corporate cashflowAssist in preparing annual budget for income producing, commercial/residential propertiesMaintain annual budget for income producing, commercial/residential propertiesPrepare and analyze job cost reportsReview monthly customer billing invoicesOther accounting and financial analysis duties as assignedPrepare monthly loan progress draws including supporting documentationProcess Improvement & Stakeholder ManagementSuggest internal controls and processes for budget accounting, cashflow and credit management, AP, purchase order process, and other accounting activitiesGuide decision-making based on policies and lead process improvement initiativesBuild stakeholder relationships; deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situationsAnalyze reports and data to provide information to relevant stakeholders for optimizing businessWork with external accountants and other professionals for various tasksTake ownership of additional responsibilities as assignedQualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related fieldKnowledge or experience with Canadian Tax Codes is a plus Experience in construction or/and real estate development company is a bonus Motivated and self-directed leader with enthusiasm about contributing to the growth and development of the accounting team and the wider company successInterest in being hands-on in the accounting function, with the ability to manage, develop and mentor accounting staffGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem solving, analytical, and prioritizing skills
