Sales & Merchandising Manager (Wholesale distribution)Full-time - Remote - IndiaAbout NanobagOur mission is to make the most practical bags in the world, and we plant one tree for every bag sold. Website: The RoleThis is a hybrid sales + merchandising role. You will be responsible for finding leads and opening wholesale / distributor accounts and making sure Nanobag actually sells once it’s in-store. Our primary market for customers will be in the US, Europe and Asia. You’ll work directly with founders, buyers, and partners to define how Nanobag shows up on shelves, counters, and pegboards.Key ResponsibilitiesSales (Primary)Prospect, pitch, and open new retail accounts (independent & regional chains)Present Nanobag’s product range, pricing, and wholesale terms to buyersManage the wholesale pipeline from first contact to reordersNegotiate MOQs, margins, and initial assortmentsMaintain and grow key retail accountsMerchandising & In-Store ExecutionAdvise retailers on SKU selection, placement, and display typeDefine basic planograms and merchandising guidelinesEnsure displays are set up correctly at launchCoordinate in-store displays (counter units, peg displays, shelf trays)Work with external designers or suppliers on display concepts and productionCollect feedback on sell-through, placement, and staff understandingRetail Strategy & Feedback LoopIdentify which products and displays perform best by store typeFeed insights back into product, packaging, and display developmentHelp standardize retail playbooks as the channel scalesSupport occasional staff training (product explanation, key selling points)What You Bring3+ years experience in sales, wholesale, merchandisingProven track record placing products into physical retailExperience with soft goods, accessories, lifestyle, travel, or gift categoriesStrong understanding of how in-store placement impacts sell-throughComfortable talking margins, pricing, and buyer objectionsHighly organized and self-driven; comfortable building processes from scratchIf this sounds like a role you’d enjoy, we’d love to hear from you.
