Role Description: Senior Merchandiser – Buyer Relations & Communication Location: On-site | New Delhi | Full-time We are looking for an experienced Senior Merchandiser- Buyer Relations & Communication person with a strong background in fashion and product merchandising who also possesses the interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain strategic relationships with buyers and industry partners. This role goes beyond traditional merchandising — it combines fashion product expertise with the ability to represent the company in external buyer and corporate communications. You will serve as a bridge between our editorial and business development teams and the broader fashion retail ecosystem, using your industry knowledge to support content creation, partnership management, and client engagement. This is a dynamic role ideal for someone who understands fashion from a product and sourcing perspective and is also confident in representing the brand in external communications and buyer-facing discussions. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact for key buyers, brands, and sourcing heads & to facilitate interaction between manufacturer and buyer on behalf of the company, for its exhibitions, conference, editorials, surveys etc. Use fashion merchandising expertise to support corporate communication, content development, and brand positioning Maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, attending events, meetings, and coordinating partnership efforts Provide market and product insight to internal teams to guide content and engagement strategies Collaborate with the editorial, sales, and marketing teams to ensure aligned communication and industry messaging Track and report on market trends, sourcing strategies, and product innovations within the apparel and fashion industry Qualifications Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in fashion merchandising or product development within the apparel or textile sector Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; confident in client-facing roles Understanding of sourcing, buying cycles, and retail strategies Strong organisational and project management abilities A collaborative mindset with the ability to work across departments Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Production, Marketing, or related field Preferred Experience Prior experience in a client-facing or communication-focused merchandising role Familiarity with media, editorial, or B2B communication in the fashion domain is a plus
