Head of HSSE – Philippines (Onshore Wind, Solar, BESS)Location: Philippines Employment: Full-time Open to expatriate candidates willing to relocate to the PhilippinesOverviewThis role leads HSSE across construction-phase renewable energy projects within the Philippines, with a primary focus on onshore wind, alongside solar and BESS.The position acts as the technical HSSE authority for project execution, with strong emphasis on heavy lifting, rigging, and installation of large infrastructure components.Key ResponsibilitiesLead HSSE oversight across multiple construction sites within the PhilippinesProvide technical HSSE input across construction planning and executionOversee lifting, rigging, and installation activities for large components (1,000–1,200 MT)Ensure safe execution of logistics, transportation, and installation worksAssess HSSE risks related to lifting operations, weather conditions, and site executionImplement HSSE systems and controls across construction-phase assetsManage contractor HSSE performance across EPC and construction partnersConduct site inspections, audits, and verification of critical risk controlsEnsure HSSE requirements are embedded into project design, procurement, and executionKey Technical RequirementsStrong HSSE background in construction environments (not operations)Proven experience in heavy lifting and rigging safety for large-scale installationsDeep understanding of:Lifting plans and rigging methodologiesWeather limitations for heavy liftsTransport and logistics risk managementExperience across large infrastructure projects such as:Onshore wind constructionMining or processing plantsLarge civil infrastructureEPC contractor environmentsExperience Requirements10–15+ years HSSE experienceMulti-site construction project experienceExperience in Philippines or wider APAC preferredRenewable energy exposure, particularly onshore wind, is advantageousAdditional RequirementsStrong site-based approach with frequent travel across project locations
