This initiative plays a critical role in enabling better decision-making, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency worldwide.The RoleThis role will lead the Master Data Governance (MDG) workstream within a global SAP transformation programme.You will be responsible for driving strategy, delivery, and adoption of master data processes, ensuring data is consistent, high-quality, and aligned across multiple regions and business units.Working across business and technology teams, you will play a key role in shaping how data is managed and governed at an enterprise level.Key ResponsibilitiesProgramme & Delivery ManagementLead the MDG workstream across planning, execution, and go-liveManage timelines, risks, dependencies, and overall delivery progressCoordinate with cross-functional teams including data migration, testing, and integrationSupport deployment activities including cutover and post-go-live (hypercare)Data Governance & MDG SetupDefine and implement master data processes (create, update, retire)Establish roles such as Data Owners and Data StewardsDrive global data standards across key domains (e.g. Product, Customer, Vendor, Finance)Implement data quality controls, KPIs, and monitoring frameworksSAP & Solution AlignmentSupport design and implementation of SAP MDG within S/4HANA environmentsEnsure alignment with integration tools and broader system landscapePromote standardisation and scalable solutions across regionsData Migration & ReadinessWork closely with migration teams on data mapping, cleansing, and validationEnsure readiness through testing cycles and mock data loadsSupport reconciliation and data quality sign-off ahead of go-liveTesting & Quality AssuranceOversee testing activities across MDG (SIT, UAT)Ensure data governance processes are tested and validatedTrack defects and ensure resolution prior to deploymentStakeholder Management & ChangeEngage with global stakeholders across business and ITDrive alignment on data standards and governance processesSupport training and adoption of new ways of workingRisk & ComplianceEnsure data processes meet regulatory and compliance requirementsMaintain clear documentation and audit readinessIdentify and manage risks across the workstreamRequired ExperienceStrong experience in SAP MDG within large transformation programmesProven background in SAP S/4HANA environmentsExperience working across multiple master data domainsStrong programme or workstream leadership experienceExperience implementing data governance frameworks and processesAbility to manage global stakeholders across regionsPreferred ExperienceExperience within Healthcare, Life Sciences, or MedTechExposure to SAP integration tools or cloud platforms (e.g. BTP)Experience in data migration and large-scale system implementationsFamiliarity with data quality, metadata, or governance toolsRelevant certifications (SAP, PMP, Prince2, etc.)Key SkillsProgramme and stakeholder managementData governance and master data expertiseStrong communication and leadership skillsProblem-solving and decision-makingAbility to operate in global, complex environmentsSuccess in the Role Looks LikeSmooth delivery of MDG workstream aligned to programme timelinesHigh-quality, consistent master data across systemsStrong adoption of governance processes globallyImproved efficiency and reduced data-related issues post go-liveAdditional InformationGlobal, cross-time-zone collaboration requiredSome travel may be needed depending on project phase
