About the job Primary Purpose This is a director-level role responsible for the performance management, and continuous improvement of the company’s globally outsourced Finance Shared Services, covering Records to Reports, Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) operations delivered through a global BPO partner (currently Infosys). Reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer, the role has primary functional ownership for global General Ledger, AR, and AP BPO process, while providing overall leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for the entire outsourced shared services model. A Global AP/AR Manager will report into this role. The position is accountable for working closely with the selected global BPO teams, setting strategy, making daily tactical decisions, ensuring that the BPO teams deliver quality service and maintains operational excellence, maintaining strong internal controls and governance, and driving transformation across GL, AR and AP processes in support of the company’s global business operations. Location: Bengaluru Key Accountabilities Key Responsibilities: 1. Global BPO & Shared Services Leadership Own the overall outsourced Finance Shared Services operating model, covering GL, AR and AP across all regions. Act as the primary point of accountability for BPO service delivery, governance, and outcomes. Lead and develop the Global AP/AR Manager, ensuring clear accountability, alignment of priorities, and strong collaboration between the BPO teams and regional GL, AR and AP team members. Ensure the shared services model scales effectively with business growth while maintaining service quality, compliance, and cost discipline. 2. Oversight of Global Accounts Receivable Oversee end-to-end global AR delivery from BPO centers worldwide, ensuring consistent service levels and strong support to business operations. Drive performance across core AR activities, including: a) Timely and accurate invoicing to customers, including automated emailing of invoices and dunning enablement b) Prompt collections of open invoices in line with target DSO c) Accurate and timely application of cash receipts, minimizing unapplied cash d) Customer credit management, including credit limit setting and order release controls Partner with regional finance, sales, and customer-facing teams to resolve customer queries and request for statements, resolving complex AR issues and support cash flow objectives. 3. Oversight of Global Accounts Payable Provide strategic oversight and governance of global AP operations delivered through the BPO. Collaborate with Infosys for roll out standardization AP process automation via Infosys’ tools eg APOC Ensure consistent AP policies, controls, and service levels across regions, including invoice processing, payment execution, vendor master governance, and query management. Review AP performance, risks, and improvement initiatives through regular engagement with the Global AP Manager and Infosys. 4. BPO Vendor Management & Governance Manage the external relationship with Infosys and any additional BPO providers supporting Finance/Accounting operations. Monitor, audit and manage contractual agreements, resource quality and commitment to SLAs, KPIs, and pricing structures. Measure, track, and report vendor under performance; lead corrective actions where service deficiencies are identified. Act as escalation point for major service delivery issues and present updates to senior finance leadership as required. 5. Transitions, Transformation & Continuous Improvement Project manage transitions of R2R, AR and AP activities to the BPO, including process analysis, documentation, transition planning, milestones, and internal handover. Identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, and optimization across AR and AP. Coordinate the implementation of BPO tools, technologies, and best practices to drive efficiency and quality. Collaborate closely with IT to ensure effective integration of BPO tools with ERP and finance systems. 6. Stakeholder Management & Business Partnership Act as a functional bridge between external BPO partners and internal stakeholders across Finance, IT, and business operations. Work closely with Regional Accounting teams and Country Controllers across EMEA, China, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, India, Australia, USA, and Canada. Support the Global Chief Accounting Officer in driving global standardization of R2R, AR and AP close processes, governance, and internal controls. Ensure strong leadership over the BPO vendors, maintaining close communication, issue resolution, and alignment across global and regional stakeholders. Any other tasks as assigned by Supervisor. This role owns the outcomes of strategic and operational choices, ensuring strong governance, risk management, and compliance while balancing efficiency, quality, and stakeholder needs. Professional/License Certification CPA preferred Formal Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Key Skills / Core Competencies Strong track record as a BPO vendor manager, preferably with providers such as Infosys, TCS, Accenture, Genpact, etc. Deep functional expertise in accounting close, Accounts Receivable, and solid working knowledge of Accounts Payable processes, controls, and risks. Demonstrated experience leading or governing end-to-end outsourced shared services models, including transitions and transformations. Strong understanding of finance process automation and technology enablement in partnership with Infosys and IT, including ERP-integrated AR/AP tools. Ability to operate effectively across cultures, geographies, and seniority levels, including influencing at CFO / executive level. Excellent analytical judgment, problem-solving capability, and commercial acumen. Strong negotiation, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills. Clear, concise, and confident written and verbal communication skills. Willingness and ability to travel internationally (including India) as required to support BPO governance and delivery Experience 8–12 years’ experience in Finance Shared Services, with significant responsibility for global BPO governance and vendor management in multinational environments. Proven experience operating at Senior Manager or Director level in multinational companies with outsourced BPO model, demonstrate accountability for global outcomes, senior stakeholder engagement, and people leadership.
