Profile Summary: The AM/Senior Execution Manager will be responsible for overseeing the estimation, planning, execution, and successful delivery of gas power plant in Africa. This role requires leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring safety and compliance, optimizing project execution processes, and meeting timelines and budget requirements. Strong experience in working and managing cross-functional teams and consultants is mandatory. The position will be based in Africa and will require close working with local teams as well international teams of qualified professionals. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for construction planning, coordination, and supervision of the Combined Cycle Power Plant, including Gas Turbine Generator (GTG), Steam Turbine (STG), HRSG, Exhaust Gas Bypass System (EGBS), tanks, fuel gas skids, Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment, and critical & non-critical piping, along with associated auxiliaries. Oversee installation, erection, and alignment of major rotating equipment with in-depth knowledge of erection sequences, methodologies, and alignment techniques. Plan, execute, and implement mitigation and proactive actions to ensure on-time project deliverables. Optimize and augment available resources for safe, efficient, and flawless execution. Coordinate effectively with multi-disciplinary leads, engineers, subcontractors, and supervisors. Prepare and review method statements, lifting plans, crane load charts, safety factors, and procedures for heavy lifting operations, including crawler cranes, tandem lifts, boom gantry cranes, and strand jack systems. Guide erection engineers, site engineers, and subcontractor supervisors for safe installation of heavy equipment such as gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSG modules, structures, and piping as per OEM procedures. Ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards, promoting a Zero Tolerance Safety and Quality culture. Monitor construction progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, MIS reports, and look-ahead schedules (3-week, 3-month, and 6-month). Support inspections, walkdowns, hydro testing, chemical cleaning, steam blowing, and closure of punch lists. Manage pre-commissioning activities, testing protocols, and handover to commissioning teams. Ensure all assigned tasks are executed in compliance with approved quality standards and project schedules. Encourage knowledge sharing and lateral learning within the project team. Responsible for planning, design review, installation, testing, and commissioning of piping systems. Review and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, GA drawings, piping layouts, and ensure compliance with specifications. Coordinate with engineering consultants, vendors, procurement, and QA/QC teams for material availability, inspection, and documentation. Conduct site inspections, resolve construction issues, and ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of piping works. Support commissioning and final handover of piping systems. Functional Skills: Experience in construction management of large-scale Combined Cycle Power Plants. Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, alignment techniques, and installation methodologies. Expertise in installation of major equipment, auxiliaries, and associated piping systems. Proven experience in piping management for large Combined Cycle Power Plant projects. Sound knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, ASTM, IBR, etc.). Familiarity with erection techniques and construction methodologies. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project environment. Strong multi-tasking capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities. Working knowledge of piping installation techniques and methodologies. Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles relevant to power plant construction. Prior international project experience is mandatory. Willingness and readiness to be site-based in Gabon, Central Africa.
