Job Description

The Telecom Administrator is responsible for enterprise voice infrastructure, PBX migration, and telecom lifecycle operations across cloud, datacenter, and branch environments. This role focuses on Cisco Webex Calling, Cisco CUBE SIP integration, multi-vendor PBX transitions, and telecom modernization initiatives. This position supports acquisitions, ensures spam mitigation, and maintains reliable voice connectivity across a distributed enterprise.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and troubleshoot Cisco Webex Calling environmentsIntegrate Cisco CUBE SIP gateways for voice migrationsSupport multi-vendor PBX transitions to WebexManage call routing, auto attendants, hunt groups, dial plans, and provisioningCoordinate number porting and carrier cutoversDesign and troubleshoot SIP trunk architectureMaintain voicemail, fax, and call recording integrationsMonitor call quality and voice performanceApply spam mitigation techniques and STIR/SHAKEN standardsWork with carriers to manage call reputation and spam issuesSupport branch onboarding and M&A integrationsMaintain telecom inventory, documentation, and vendor recordsPerform platform upgrades and controlled change managementParticipate in maintenance windows and outage responseRequired QualificationsEnterprise VoIP administration experienceCisco Webex or Cisco UC platform experienceHands-on Cisco CUBE SIP configurationExperience migrating multi-vendor PBX environmentsStrong understanding of SIP architecture and voice routingKnowledge of STIR/SHAKEN and spam mitigation practicesAdvanced troubleshooting in line voice environmentsExperience coordinating with telecom carriersAbility to work independently during migrations or outagesPreferred QualificationsExperience with Mitel, Avaya, Cisco, or other enterprise PBX platformsExperience with cloud PBX environmentsFamiliarity with firewall/QoS concepts impacting voiceExposure to WAN/SD-WAN environments supporting VoIPExperience with acquisition integration projectsTelecom certifications or Cisco collaboration certificationsKey TraitsCalm under pressureDetail-oriented and methodicalStrong vendor coordination skillsFast learner in multi-vendor environmentsDocumentation drivenOwnership mentalityCollaborative communicator
