Summary: We are looking for a Project Director to lead the execution of a large greenfield manufacturing facility. This role will own the end-to-end delivery of the project from planning through commissioning ensuring timelines, budgets, quality standards, and business objectives are consistently met. With an investment of INR 1000+ Crore, the position requires strong leadership, structured project management, and close engagement with the top management.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and drive a comprehensive project plan with clearly defined milestones, ensuring timely completion of all phases including commissioning and final consolidationLead day-to-day coordination with civil teams, equipment vendors, internal functions, and external partners to ensure steady progress and minimal schedule varianceOwn end-to-end financial planning, ensuring effective budgeting, cost tracking, and delivery within approved CAPEX and OPEX without overrunsEstablish governance frameworks, project controls, and risk management practices to support structured execution and informed decision-makingSet up processes, systems, and SOPs to enable efficient execution and ensure smooth transition to full operational readinessEnsure successful transition from construction to commissioning, with full functional alignment, successful performance testing, and compliance with safety standardsContinuously monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, taking corrective actions to maintain alignment with plansOversee contractor and consultant performance, ensuring adherence to specifications, quality standards, and contractual obligationsConduct periodic project reviews and present progress, risks, and financial updates to senior leadership and the BoardManage relationships with external stakeholders, including government authorities, partners, and media across Karnataka and Andhra PradeshBuild, lead, and mentor a high-performing multidisciplinary team; define clear roles and responsibilities; and ensure strong collaboration across teamsProactively address challenges and resolve team or stakeholder conflicts to maintain project momentumDrive a strong safety and quality culture, ensuring an incident-free work environment and zero rework in critical installationsTechnical & Professional ExpertiseStrong experience in greenfield project execution and large capital investmentsDeep understanding of EPC environments, contract structuring, vendor ecosystems, and large-site execution dynamicsStrong financial acumen, including CapEx strategy, cost governance, and investment optimizationProficiency in digital project ecosystems, ERP platforms, and data-led decision-making frameworksComprehensive knowledge of regulatory landscapes, statutory compliance, ESG considerations, and risk governanceFamiliarity with advanced manufacturing paradigms, including automation, sustainability, and Industry 4.0 integrationExperience20+ years of experience in engineering, infrastructure, or manufacturing projectsAt least 5 years managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneouslyProven track record of delivering greenfield projects from concept to commissioning Experience presenting project status and financials to senior leadership or BoardStrong team leadership experience managing 50–100+ professionals across functions and locationsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (Electrical Engineering candidates with relevant experience may be considered)Master’s degree in Engineering and/or MBA (Project Management/Operations) preferred
