We develop technologies to address critical challenges such as space debris mitigation and green propulsion, enabling safer satellite operations, and long-term sustainability of the space ecosystem. Our work sits at the intersection of advanced engineering, applied research, and mission-critical systems, requiring deep technical capability and long-term thinking. Website: are looking for a creative and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Hall-Effect based Electric Propulsion team. The ideal candidate will assist in quick design changes, and perform magnetic, fluid, and thermal simulations on the system. The role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure all system requirements are captured, documented and implemented effectively. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with system engineers and design teams to develop and modify mechanical designs for Hall Electric Propulsion systems. Well versed with designing tools like SolidWorks, Catia, Abacus or any other equivalent tool.  Perform detailed magnetic, fluid, and thermal simulations using tools like ANSYS Maxwell, ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS Thermals, COMSOL, and ANSYS Structures (static and dynamic). Capture and document all system requirements accurately, ensuring clarity and completeness. Create detailed mechanical drafts and design tolerances in line with system requirements. Provide solutions to complex mechanical problems while ensuring high standards of quality and reliability. Ensure all design changes are properly tracked and communicated within and across teams. Take ownership of tasks and contribute to end-to-end development of propulsion systems. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet all engineering, safety, and performance specifications. Support system integration and assist with troubleshooting and validation processes as needed. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical / aerospace engineering or related field with 5 years of experience. Experience with full development cycle of hardware product development. Hands-on experience with ANSYS Maxwell, ANSYS Thermals, ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS Structures (static and dynamic), and COMSOL. Heat transfer, fluid mechanics, gas dynamics, structural mechanics Experience in developing and refining mechanical designs, with an emphasis on innovative problem-solving. Ability to capture and document technical requirements clearly and accurately. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams. Ownership mindset with the ability to work independently and take responsibility for tasks. Preferred Experience: Experience with Hall Effect thrusters or electric propulsion systems. End-to-end hardware product/project development and testing experience. 2+ years of experience in mechanical design (experience with electric propulsion systems or Hall effect thrusters is preferred but not mandatory). magnetics If you are motivated by building enduring technical institutions and solving complex hiring challenges at scale, we would like to hear from you ().
