Python-focused AI Backend Engineer with strong experience building production-grade FastAPI services and AI agent workflows Must Have: Backend Engineering 2–3+ years of Python experience building production-grade services Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI , including: Async execution patterns API design & error handling Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD , especially within Azure DevOps Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Hands-on experience building end-to-end RAG systems Experience with: Document ingestion & parsing Chunking strategies Embedding generation & indexing AI Agents & Frameworks Expertise in at least one AI framework such as: LangChain Microsoft Agent Framework Semantic Kernel Google ADK Data & Storage Strong SQL skills, preferably Microsoft SQL Server Query writing, validation, optimization Data ingestion Familiarity with NoSQL databases, preferably Azure Cosmos DB Ways of Working Strong communication and collaboration skills Comfortable working in agile, globally distributed teams Nice to Have Experience with Copilot Studio , including agent creation and publishing Exposure to Microsoft Agent Framework hosting and backend integration patterns
