Job Summary: The Diagnostics Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete operations of the diagnostic department, including laboratory services, radiology, and imaging. The role ensures high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, efficient workflow, and optimal utilization of resources. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day operations of laboratory and diagnostic imaging services (Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Radiology, etc.) Ensure adherence to quality standards such as NABL and NABH guidelines Monitor and improve turnaround time (TAT) for diagnostic reports Supervise and lead a team of lab technicians, radiographers, and support staff Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of diagnostic equipment Coordinate with doctors and clinical departments for accurate and timely reporting Implement quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) protocols Handle vendor management and procurement of lab reagents and equipment Maintain compliance with biomedical waste management and safety protocols Prepare departmental budgets and monitor expenses Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and audit readiness Key Skills: Strong knowledge of diagnostic lab operations and radiology services Leadership and team management skills Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards Analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and coordination skills Proficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) / Life Sciences Master’s Degree (MMLT / MBA in Hospital Administration) preferred Certifications in Quality Management or Healthcare Operations will be an added advantage
