About Brand Impetus The internet has enough websites. We only make the ones that deserve to exist. Brand Impetus is a remote design studio crafting high-craft web experiences for fast-moving companies, startups backed by Y-Combinator and Sequoia, and founder-led brands that understand design is the product. Our work has earned recognition on A , not because we optimise for awards, but because we refuse to ship anything we're not genuinely proud of. We're a small, focused team. Which means when you join, you're not designer number fourteen waiting years for a meaningful brief. You own projects end-to-end — discovery, direction, delivery - from day one. Your work gets seen, recognised, and added to a portfolio worth having. We're looking for a Web Experience Designer who designs like a director and thinks like a strategist. What You'll Actually Be Doing Lead end-to-end design for client websites — from first wireframe to polished, dev-ready Figma files – Run or participate in discovery sessions: extract brand direction, translate ambiguity into design decisions Design interactive, scroll-worthy experiences — not just clean layouts, but sites with character and soul Define or evolve visual identity across a project: typography, colour, motion intent, layout logic Create interaction concepts and motion references for Webflow developers to build from – Maintain and evolve component libraries and design systems across multiple active projects Present work to clients confidently; take feedback, push back when it matters, iterate quickly Stay current on web design trends — and know exactly when to ignore them Who You Are 3–5 years of experience designing websites — not apps, not dashboards, websites — with a portfolio that proves it Expert-level Figma skills: components, auto-layout, variables, prototyping, dev-ready handoffs – A sharp, instinctive eye for typography, whitespace, visual hierarchy, and pacing You think strategically, not just stylistically — every decision has a reason Comfortable working across multiple concurrent projects without losing quality or missing deadlines Self-directed with strong async communication habits — you don't need a manager hovering over you Confidently presenting ideas to clients and holding your ground on design decisions you believe in Curious, experimental, and genuinely obsessed with the web as a creative medium Not the Right Fit If... Your portfolio is primarily mobile app UI — we work on the web, exclusively You need step-by-step briefs and daily direction — we work async and expect you to own your projects You're a trend-follower who can't explain why a design choice works You've only worked in large agencies where one person does one narrow thing – You're not comfortable talking directly to clients Tools Figma — your primary environment, know it deeply Webflow — not optional; you should understand how designs translate to Webflow builds Shopify — familiarity helpful for e-commerce projects Motion (Lottie, After Effects) — nice to have – Slack / Notion / ClickUp — how we run projects day-to-day How We Work Fully remote — work from wherever you do your best thinking Async-first — we respect deep work time; updates via Slack, not back-to-back meetings You'll join client standups when needed and communicate directly — no account manager in between Multiple projects run concurrently; you manage your own time and priorities Feedback comes fast, delivery timelines are tight, quality is non-negotiable Perks Competitive salary — ₹7–14 LPA depending on experience and portfolio Fully remote, async-first – Paid time off Annual learning budget — tools, courses, design resources Access to award-level work featured on A Muzli and more A small, high-trust team that genuinely loves the craft Apply through the link below We are not accepting applications through this platform.
