Job Description – Sr. Engineer / AM – InProcess Quality (MIG – CCB) Company: VeeGee Auto Components Department: Quality – InProcess Designation: Sr. Engineer / Assistant Manager – InProcess Quality (MIG – CCB) Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Plant Location (Jalisana / Vitthlapur – as applicable) Experience: 6–10 Years Industry Preference: Auto Components / Sheet Metal / Chassis / CCB Key Responsibilities Monitor and ensure inprocess quality control for MIG welding operations in CCB (Chassis / Cross Car Beam) manufacturing. Ensure compliance with process parameters, control plans, drawings, and SOPs during production. Conduct inprocess inspections of MIG welded assemblies to meet dimensional and welding quality standards. Identify welding defects and quality deviations; perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) . Coordinate with Production, BIW, Welding, and Maintenance teams to resolve quality issues. Monitor process capability, weld parameters, and fixture conditions . Support PPAP, sample approvals, layout inspection, and change management activities . Track and analyze rejections, rework, and process trends ; drive improvement actions. Participate in internal audits, customer audits, and ISO / IATF requirements . Ensure implementation of quality tools and continuous improvement on the shopfloor. Train and guide operators and inspectors on quality standards and welding best practices . Maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, and daily quality MIS . Promote safety, 5S, and quality awareness in the welding shop. Required Skills & Qualifications Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering 6–10 years of experience in InProcess Quality , preferably in MIG Welding – CCB / Chassis / BIW assemblies Strong knowledge of MIG welding process, welding defects, fixtures, and assemblies Handson experience with inspection gauges and measuring instruments Good understanding of 7 QC tools, RCA, CAPA, and control plans Familiarity with PPAP, SOPs, and customer quality requirements Experience in auto component / sheet metal manufacturing Strong communication, coordination, and problemsolving skills Ability to independently handle shopfloor quality challenges Preferred Skills Exposure to IATF 16949 / ISO quality systems Experience with OEM / Tier1 / Tier2 auto suppliers Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives
