Position: Legal Counsel (Remote) Salary: INR 40,000 per month About the Company Our client is an innovative startup building a professional networking platform. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to support the company across employment law, regulatory compliance, and general corporate legal matters. This is a remote role, ideal for a proactive legal professional comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment. Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice on labor and employment laws (India + international exposure preferred) Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, and HR frameworks Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, data protection regulations, and platform-related legal requirements Advise on employee disputes, disciplinary actions, and terminations Support leadership on risk mitigation and compliance strategy Draft and review vendor agreements, NDAs, and commercial contracts Work closely with HR and leadership to align legal frameworks with business goals Monitor evolving legal regulations impacting tech platforms and employment practices Key Requirements LLB / LLM from a recognized institution 5–10+ years of experience in employment/labor law and corporate legal advisory Strong understanding of Indian labor laws (experience with global jurisdictions is a plus) Prior experience with startups, tech platforms, or digital businesses preferred Ability to work independently in a remote setup Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
