Job Title: StepWise Developer (Software Engineer) – Optum Platform Experience: 6–8 Years Location: Remote (Asset collection from Pune / Mumbai / Chennai / Bangalore) Shift: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM IST Role Overview We are looking for an experienced StepWise Developer with expertise in the Optum StepWise platform to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level quoting, rating, and workflow automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Microsoft .NET technologies , database design, and system integrations across distributed environments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain workflows and integrations using the StepWise platform Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient process flows Build and optimize data pipelines, API integrations, and event-driven processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver automation solutions Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance system performance and reliability Document workflows, configurations, and best practices Technical Responsibilities Develop and maintain StepWise components: Rating services (quoting & pricing logic) Workflow automation services Web services (security, content, integrations) Work with applications and Windows services Design and manage SQL Server databases (configuration & transactional data) Implement integrations using APIs, ODBC, and enterprise systems Required Skills Hands-on experience in StepWise development (Optum preferred) Strong expertise in: Microsoft .NET / Microsoft SQL Server & database design Advanced SQL (querying, optimization, performance tuning) Experience with REST & SOAP API integrations Advanced Excel skills for calculations and configurations Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities Preferred Skills Experience in Healthcare / Insurance / Financial Services domains Knowledge of: Rating engines & quoting systems Underwriting workflows Event-driven architectures Experience with enterprise systems like Oracle, DB2, ODBC-based systems Performance tuning of enterprise applications Soft Skills Strong analytical and communication skills Ability to work in cross-functional teams Detail-oriented with high quality standards Self-driven with strong multitasking ability What You’ll Work On Enterprise quoting and rating systems Workflow automation for complex business processes Integration of multiple enterprise and third-party systems Scalable backend services for critical operations
