Job Title:Senior IT Infrastructure & DevOps Consultant (Linux) Location:India (Remote) Employment Type:Full-TimePosition Overview: We are seeking aSenior IT Infrastructure & DevOps Consultantwith strong expertise inLinux system administration, infrastructure automation, and modern DevOps practices . The ideal candidate will have experience managingLinux-based environments, CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications, and cloud infrastructure , ensuring high availability, automation, and operational efficiency across production environments. This role combinestraditional Linux infrastructure engineering with modern DevOps practicesincludingCI/CD automation, containerization, and cloud infrastructure management .Key Responsibilities: Linux Infrastructure & System Administration Deploy, manage, and maintainLinux-based infrastructure environments (RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu)across development, staging, and production systems. Performsystem configuration, patch management, kernel updates, and performance tuning . Supportimage management and provisioning systemssuch as Koji, Kiwi, or Cobbler. MaintainRPM packaging workflows and OS image build processes . Monitor system performance and conductcapacity planning, log analysis, and system diagnostics . Troubleshoot and resolveproduction infrastructure incidentsand performroot cause analysis (RCA) .DevOps & Automation Design and implementCI/CD pipelinesfor infrastructure and application deployment using tools such asJenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms . Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration usingAnsible, SaltStack, Terraform, or similar tools . Develop and maintainautomation scripts using Shell, Bash, or Python . ImplementInfrastructure as Code (IaC)for repeatable infrastructure deployments.Containerization & Cloud Platforms Build and manage containerized applications usingDocker and Kubernetes . Support container orchestration environments and manage deployments across environments. Work withpublic cloud platforms such as AWS or Azureto manage scalable infrastructure. Configure networking, load balancing, security groups, and cloud monitoring tools.Monitoring, Reliability & Operations Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such asPrometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or CloudWatch . Ensure24x7 system availability, reliability, and performance optimization . Participate inproduction support and incident response activities . Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensurehigh availability and system scalability .Required Skills & Experience 5–8 years of experiencein Linux infrastructure engineering or DevOps roles. Strong experience withLinux administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) . Hands-on experience withautomation tools such as Ansible or SaltStack . Experience withCI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar) . Proficiency inShell/Bash scripting and Python for automation . Experience withcontainer technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) . Understanding ofvirtualization technologies such as VMware . Knowledge ofnetworking concepts (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, SNMP) . Familiarity withGit-based version control systems .Good to Have Experience working withAWS or Azure cloud platforms . Knowledge ofTerraform or Infrastructure as Code frameworks . Exposure tomicroservices-based architectures . Experience withmonitoring and observability platforms . Linux certifications such asRHCE, RHCSA, or LPIC .
