Job Description

The Microservices Technical Lead, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in delivering enterprise grade microservices solutions, is responsible for analyzing, designing, and governing changes across the bank’s microservices landscape that are impacted due to Oracle Banking Payments (OBP) and Core Banking upgrade programs.The role works closely with payment application owners, program leads, and architecture teams to assess the end to end impact and quantum of change on microservices supporting payment journeys, country specific payment rails, TXCore components, and downstream payment applications.The role also brings strong hands on expertise in deploying, managing, and operating microservices across both cloud and on premises environments, ensuring that solutions remain secure, scalable, resilient, and compliant across all countries.1. Microservices Impact Analysis & DesignOwn technical impact analysis and design for all microservices impacted by OBP and Core Banking upgrades.Prepare and maintain HLDs and LLDs covering microservices, APIs, event flows, and orchestration logic.Define and document service boundaries, API contracts, and message flows based on upgrade driven changes in payment applications.2. Cross Application & Stakeholder CoordinationWork closely with payment application owners, program leads, and enterprise architects to:Understand upstream and downstream changes driven by OBP and Core upgradesAssess functional and technical impact on microservicesEstimate the quantum of change across services, APIs, and integrationsAct as the single technical coordination point for microservices changes across payment programs.3. Microservices Architecture AlignmentEnsure microservices designs align with:Enterprise architecture standardsOBP and Core Banking integration patternsCountry specific payment flow requirementsDecide appropriate routing patterns (sync/async), event choreography, and service decomposition per payment domain.4. Environment Setup & Technical GovernanceLead design inputs for microservices environment setup, including containers, namespaces, configuration management, and CI/CD readiness.Govern development standards such as:Domain Driven Design (DDD)Resiliency and retry patternsIdempotency and error handlingObservability, logging, and tracing5. Integration & API Impact HandlingDesign and govern changes to microservices integrations with:Payment applicationsOBP and Core BankingChannels and digital platformsLocal payment rails and gatewaysEnterprise middlewareEnsure APIs comply with security, authentication, throttling, audit logging, and regulatory requirements.6. Build, Test & Release SupportSupport development teams by clarifying design changes and resolving impact related gaps.Assist SIT/UAT by:Analyzing defects related to upgrade driven microservices impactsIdentifying root causes across services, APIs, and event flowsValidate microservices readiness for deployment, release, and production rollout.7. Technical Governance & Consistency• Ensure design consistency, traceability, and reuse across all impacted microservices.• Highlight risks, dependencies, and cross service impacts to program and senior stakeholders.• Ensure alignment with change management, release governance, and BCP/DR requirements.
