We are hiring for our client, a reputed name in the Pharma Engineering consulting domain, for the position of Senior Process Engineer.Position DetailsPosition: Senior Process Engineer – Pharma ProjectsDepartment: Process EngineeringReporting To: Lead Process Engineer / Engineering ManagerLocation: Pune (Hybrid / Work from Home permitted)Experience: 5–8 YearsQualification: BE – Chemical Engineering (Mandatory)Project Phases: Concept Design, Basic Design, Detailed DesignRole OverviewThe Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for process design and engineering activities for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, including Drug Substance and Drug Product projects. This is a design-office–focused role, emphasizing engineering, documentation, and coordination, with no site execution responsibility.The role suits candidates with pharma company or design consultancy experience who are comfortable working in a fast-growing Indian pharma consultancy environment.Key Responsibilities1. Process Design & EngineeringPerform process design activities across:Concept DesignBasic Design (FEED)Detailed DesignPrepare and review:Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)Mass balance and process calculationsEquipment sizing and datasheetsDevelop process design philosophies aligned with product, capacity, and GMP requirements.2. Pharma Manufacturing & GMP ComplianceApply hands-on understanding of pharma manufacturing operations to design development.Ensure process designs comply with:USFDAEU GMPWHO GMP guidelinesIncorporate concepts related to:Cleanability and drainabilityCross-contamination controlBatch manufacturing requirementsSupport design documentation from a GMP compliance perspective.3. Inter-Discipline CoordinationProvide process inputs to:MechanicalPipingHVAC / CleanroomElectricalInstrumentation & Automation teamsReview inter-discipline drawings and documents for process compliance.Respond to process-related design queries during engineering stages.4. Client & Vendor InteractionParticipate in client meetings for:Process discussionsDesign review clarificationsComment resolutionReview vendor documents for process equipment and skids.Support technical evaluations and alignment with design intent.5.
