Adjunct Faculty – Maintenance ManagementAbout the RoleWe are seeking an Adjunct Faculty member in Maintenance Management with strong industry experience and practical insights to bring to the classroom. The role is designed for professionals with hands-on experience in plant maintenance, asset management, reliability engineering, and industrial operations.The adjunct faculty member will help students understand how maintenance strategy, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency are critical to modern manufacturing and infrastructure environments.Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching and Academic EngagementDeliver lectures or modules related to Maintenance Management, Plant Operations, Asset Reliability, and Industrial Engineering.Integrate industry case studies, operational challenges, and practical examples into classroom sessions.Facilitate discussions on maintenance strategies and operational best practices used in industry.Course Content and Industry IntegrationContribute to the development of practice-oriented course material in areas such as:Preventive and predictive maintenanceReliability and asset managementMaintenance planning and schedulingTotal Productive Maintenance (TPM)Equipment lifecycle managementMaintenance cost optimizationConduct guest lectures, workshops, or short modules on emerging technologies in maintenance such as IoT-enabled predictive maintenance and digital asset monitoring.Student MentorshipGuide students working on projects related to operations, manufacturing systems, and maintenance optimization.Mentor students interested in careers in plant operations, manufacturing, infrastructure, and industrial engineering.QualificationsApplicants should meet one of the following criteria:Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology with significant industry experience in maintenance management, plant operations, or reliability engineering, ORMBA (Operations / Supply Chain / Industrial Management) with strong industry experience in maintenance and operations management.Preferred QualificationsExperience in manufacturing plants, infrastructure operations, utilities, logistics facilities, or industrial operations.Exposure to modern maintenance practices such as TPM, predictive maintenance, and digital asset management systems.Prior teaching, training, or executive education experience will be an advantage.ExperienceMinimum 8–10 years of industry experience in areas such as:Plant maintenance and operationsEquipment reliability and asset managementMaintenance planning and schedulingIndustrial safety and operational efficiencyMaintenance cost managementNature of EngagementAdjunct / Visiting Faculty position.Engagement may involve teaching a course, delivering specialized modules, or conducting industry-focused workshops.Sessions may be delivered in-person, hybrid, or block modules depending on the program schedule.Ideal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will:Have hands-on experience in industrial maintenance and plant operations.Bring practical industry perspectives into the classroom.Be passionate about mentoring students and contributing to applied management education.
