This role requires deep understanding of complex accounting matters, the ability to identify and resolve accounting issues, and ownership of new client onboarding to establish scalable and compliant monthly accounting processes.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Accounting & US GAAP AdvisoryProvide hands-on expertise on US GAAP technical accounting mattersIdentify, assess, and resolve accounting and accrual-related issues across client accountsResearch and document accounting treatments for complex transactionsReview financial statements for accuracy, compliance, and consistency with US GAAPGuide teams on proper accounting policies, judgments, and estimatesClient Onboarding & SetupLead onboarding of new clients, including understanding business models, systems, and accounting complexitiesEstablish chart of accounts, accounting policies, and monthly close processesEnsure clients are set up for accurate and efficient monthly accounting going forwardAct as a key point of contact during the initial transition phaseMonthly Accounting & OversightOversee month-end close activities and ensure timely, accurate deliverablesReview reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and management reportsEnsure strong internal controls and audit readinessSupport ongoing client needs with accounting guidance and issue resolutionStakeholder & Team CollaborationWork closely with client stakeholders, controllers, and CFOsMentor and guide accounting teams on technical matters and best practicesCoordinate with cross-functional teams including AP, AR, Payroll, and TaxRequired Qualifications & Experience6+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong, hands-on expertise in US GAAP (mandatory)Proven experience in technical accounting analysis and issue resolutionPrior experience working with US-based clientsExperience in client onboarding or transition of accounting servicesStrong understanding of accrual accounting, revenue recognition, and financial reportingExperience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, or similar)Preferred SkillsBackground in public accounting, advisory, or outsourced accounting servicesExperience documenting accounting policies and technical memosStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExcellent client communication and stakeholder management abilitiesAbility to work independently and manage multiple client engagements
