Role OverviewWe are looking for a Transport/Logistics Executive to manage end-to-endtransportation operations between suppliers and buyers across India. The roleinvolves vehicle planning, transporter coordination, documentation, andexecution of dispatches to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery ofmaterials.Key Responsibilities1. Planning & Requirement MappingPlan daily/weekly/monthly vehicle requirements based on sales ordersand dispatch targetsAlign shipment plans with supplier readiness and buyer deliveryschedulesOptimize routes and vehicle utilization to reduce cost and delays2. Transporter AllocationIdentify and assign transporters for shipments based on location,availability, and costMaintain a database of reliable transport vendors across regionsNegotiate freight rates and ensure competitive pricing3. Execution (Dispatch Management)Coordinate with suppliers for vehicle placement at loading pointsEnsure timely loading and dispatch of materials Supervise documentation required for dispatch (e.g., invoice, e-way bill, LR, weighbridge slips)4. Documentation & Compliance Verify all transport and statutory documents required for inter-state movement Ensure compliance with GST, e-way bill norms, and company policies Maintain accurate shipment records5. Monitoring & TrackingTrack vehicles in transit and provide real-time updates to internal teams and buyersProactively handle delays, breakdowns, or route issuesEnsure timely delivery as per committed timelines6. Delivery CoordinationCoordinate with buyers for smooth unloading and proof of delivery (POD)Resolve on-ground delivery issues (delays, shortages, damages)7. Billing & Payment CoordinationVerify transporter invoices against agreed rates and trips completedCoordinate with accounts for invoice processing and approvalsEnsure timely payment release to transportersKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of road logistics and freight operations in India Knowledge of transport documentation (Invoice, LR, E-way bill, POD, etc.)Good negotiation and vendor management skills Excellent coordination and communication abilities Problem-solving mindset with ability to handle real-time issues Proficiency in MS Excel (tracking, planning, MIS reporting)Qualifications & ExperienceGraduate in any discipline (Logistics/Supply Chain preferred)2–5 years of experience in transport/logistics operations (preferably inmetal, steel, or commodity trading)
