About the Unit:Jindal Lifestyle Limited, a subsidiary of Jindal Stainless Limited is a leading integrated stainless steel solution provider across domestic & international markets, that offers a wide range of bespoke & innovative designer products with superior quality to elevate lifestyles.Job Summary:Engineer NPD will be responsible for supporting New Product Development through design finalization, prototyping, feasibility assessment, and cost evaluation. The role involves preparation and review of BOMs, process flow charts, PPAP documentation, and process-wise drawings, along with coordination on product testing and validation. Works closely with Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Purchase, and MM teams to ensure accurate SAP BOM creation, material procurement (including BOPs), and timely dispatch of new products.Key Responsibilities:Drive New Product Development (NPD) activities including product development, prototyping, feasibility assessment, and target final cost (TFC) evaluation in line with design specifications and customer requirements.Prepare and review Bills of Material (BOM), process‑wise drawings, and Process Flow Charts (PFC/PFD) for newly developed products.Support the creation and maintenance of PPAP documentation such as Control Plans, FMEA, SPC, checking equipment, and related quality records.Collaborate with Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Purchase, and MM teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth product development and launch.Create process drawings for new products.Participate in product testing, validation, and customer feedback analysis to drive continuous design and process improvements.Prepare RCIP BOM data to support accurate product costing and commercials.Coordinate with the Material Master team for SAP BOM creation and ensure system readiness for new products.Manage SAP order creation, order confirmation, and dispatch coordination for newly developed products.Handle new Bought Out Part (BOP) activities during NPD, including BOP code creation, PR generation, and coordination with the Purchase team for timely procurement.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.3-6 years experience in related fieldKey Knowledge & Skills:Practical Knowledge of Auto CAD & Solid Work SoftwareKnowledge of GD&TSAP PP Module / MM ModulePPAP (Documentation)APQP (Documentation)Complete BOM ManagementKnowledge of Standards ISO 9001:2015 , ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018Knowledge of Standard ITAF 16949 AIAGPreferred Industries:Sheet Metals/ Steel (Deep Draw & Fabrication), Appliances, Automobile
