Role OverviewThe Elementary School Coordinator plays a key leadership role in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and academically rigorous learning environment for elementary students. The role focuses on effective curriculum implementation, teacher support, student well-being, and strong collaboration with school leadership and parents. The Coordinator works closely with teachers and the senior leadership team to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement across the Elementary School.Key Responsibilities1. Academic Leadership & Teacher SupportMentor and support Elementary School teachers through regular classroom observations and documented feedback. Facilitate peer observations and promote reflective teaching practices. Ensure teachers have access to appropriate teaching resources and materials. Oversee training and effective use of the LMS (Toddle) and other educational software. Monitor LMS data to ensure unit plans and documentation adhere to timelines and quality standards. 2. Student Well-being & Pastoral CareEnsure student safety and well-being remain central to all Elementary School initiatives. Work closely with the school counselor to support wellness programs and individual student needs. Support student discipline in coordination with class teachers and engage with parents when required. Organize and oversee day trips, field visits, and annual excursions. 3. Communication & CollaborationProvide regular updates to the Head of School and Deputy Head of School on Elementary School progress and developments. Support the planning and coordination of meetings and academic discussions. Guide teachers on continuous assessment practices and unit assessment requirements. Advise and support teachers in effective communication with parents, intervening when necessary. 4. Professional DevelopmentLead curriculum induction for new Elementary School teachers. Identify professional development needs in consultation with school leadership. Plan and facilitate internal and external professional development workshops. Review and process professional development applications and coordinate teacher registrations for approved programs. 5. Curriculum OversightEnsure teachers have access to and understand relevant curriculum documentation. Support curriculum planning, delivery, and alignment with school expectations. Maintain up-to-date curriculum documentation and oversee curriculum review cycles. 6. Admissions SupportParticipate in the admissions process by meeting prospective parents and students through the Open Apply platform. Collaborate with the Admissions team and school leadership to review and support new admissions. 7. Staff Recruitment & DevelopmentSupport HR in faculty recruitment by interviewing candidates and providing structured feedback. Identify leadership potential within the Elementary School and support growth into roles such as lead teachers or subject specialists. 8. Documentation & Resource ManagementMaintain accurate records, correspondence, and periodic/annual reports. Support resource planning, curriculum materials selection, and professional development coordination. Coordinate subscriptions, professional development fees, and required documentation for authorizations and evaluations. Ensure compliance with program requirements, procedures, and accreditation standards. Monitor student progress and ensure appropriate academic records are maintained. Eligibility & ExperienceStrong knowledge of the Cambridge Elementary School Programme and school-curated curricula. Demonstrated experience in educational leadership within an elementary or international school setting. Understanding of international accreditation, inspection, and evaluation frameworks.
