Details on your work arrangement (including on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.How You’ll Succeed (responsibilities):Operational Efficiency & Service Delivery:Track and analyze the operating environment for specified services, implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure optimal performance.Monitor service levels, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend appropriate solutions to enhance client experience.Oversee delivery of support services, ensuring adherence to standards and operating procedures.People Management:Set appropriate context when assigning work to ensure that individuals’ roles support the achievement of the business unit’s priorities and CIBC’s overall goals.Build team and individual capabilities by providing development opportunities such as job shadowing, special projects, and training.Manage performance by providing fair and accurate formal and informal feedback, identifying and removing obstacles to performance, and explaining how performance expectations align with business. prioritiesCreate a positive work environment and be an effective role model by championing CIBC’s mission, vision, and values.Ensure compliance with policies, standards, guidelines, and controls by applying the policies and controls fairly and consistently so employees understand what to expect.Hire the right people in the right jobs to align individual capabilities with job requirements and business unit goals.Relationship Management:Work closely with clients and business partners to develop, test, and implement application programs.Advise application owners on technology possibilities and requirements, impacting and improving business outcomes.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver solutions.CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:Collaborates with peers in Technology and other business units to identify, discuss, and resolve issues related to web development and service delivery.Partners with Product Owners, Application Owners, and external vendors to define requirements, establish service level agreements, and ensure successful implementation of projects.Engages with Agile teams, utilizing tools such as Jira and Confluence to foster communication and project tracking.As an employee of CIBC, the incumbent must comply with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines, and controls.As a manager of people, this job must ensure all employees within the business unit comply with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines, and controls.As a manager of people, this job has the authority to assign tasks to employees within their span of control, select individuals for hire, assess individual performance, make employee compensation decisions, and take disciplinary measures up to and including termination.JOB DIMENSIONS:Direct management of a high-performing team of web developers and technology professionals.Oversight of multiple enterprise-scale web and mobile projects impacting client-facing applications.Responsible for service delivery and operational effectiveness across assigned digital platforms.Experience: 10+ years of experienceWho You Are (skills/qualifications):Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or related fieldMust Have Skills:10+ years' experience, with minimum 3+ years of experience as a team manager with a background in Web Development.Expertise in Web architecture and frameworks including VueJS/JavaScript/React.js/front end responsive web development..Previous experience working within an Agile environment; familiarity with Jira and Confluence.Strong communication and presentation skills.Familiarity with AI tools for software development..Demonstrated leadership in developing and coaching diverse, high-performing teams.Proven ability to champion change and drive continuous improvement.Collaborative mindset, with a commitment to inclusivity and shared success.What CIBC India Offers:At CIBC India, your goals are a priority.
