Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Lead to design, manage, and evolve a hybrid infrastructure landscape spanning AWS cloud and on-premise environments. This role is responsible for driving platform stability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency while leading a team of engineers in a fast-paced BPO environment.The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth with strategic thinking, enabling them to define future infrastructure roadmaps and ensure high availability for mission-critical operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyLead, mentor, and develop a team of infrastructure and platform engineersDefine and execute the infrastructure roadmap aligned with business growth and BPO operational needsDrive continuous improvement in system reliability, performance, and scalabilityCollaborate with senior stakeholders to align infrastructure with business prioritiesCloud & Hybrid InfrastructureArchitect and manage AWS-based infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, security)Oversee integration and optimization of on-premise data centers with cloud platformsLead cloud migration, modernization, and hybrid architecture initiativesKubernetes & Platform EngineeringDesign, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (production-grade)Implement container orchestration best practices for scalability and resilienceSupport CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)Networking & SecurityOwn network architecture including VPNs, VPCs, routing, load balancing, and firewallsEnsure secure connectivity between cloud and on-prem environmentsImplement and manage firewall policies, intrusion detection, and network segmentationReliability & ResilienceEnsure high availability and disaster recovery planning (DR/BCP)Define SLAs, SLOs, and monitoring/alerting strategiesLead incident response and root cause analysisCost OptimizationMonitor and optimize infrastructure spend across AWS and on-prem resourcesImplement cost governance, tagging strategies, and rightsizing initiativesIdentify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvementsBPO Environment FocusEnsure infrastructure supports high-volume, 24/7 operationsOptimize systems for voice, CRM, and workforce platformsMaintain strict uptime and performance standards critical to client SLAsRequired Skills & ExperienceTechnical ExpertiseStrong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, IAM, etc.)Solid experience managing on-premise infrastructure (servers, storage, virtualization)Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and container ecosystemsAdvanced understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs)Experience with firewall technologies and security best practicesTools & PracticesInfrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)Monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesBackup, disaster recovery, and high availability designLeadershipProven experience leading technical teamsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to balance hands-on work with strategic planningPreferred QualificationsAWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.)Experience in BPO / contact center environmentsExposure to compliance standards (ISO, SOC2, etc.)Experience with multi-region and global infrastructureKey Success MetricsInfrastructure uptime and SLA adherenceReduction in cloud and infrastructure costsImprovement in deployment speed and system performanceIncident reduction and faster recovery timesTeam performance and engagementSoft SkillsStrategic thinker with a forward-looking mindsetStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAbility to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environmentClear communicator across technical and non-technical stakeholders
