Job DescriptionKey responsibilitiesSenior Engineer - Digital ElectronicsProviding guidance to design teams wrt technical specification of digital hardware design especially considering international standards, practices, and acceptance.Providing guidance to technical design teams regarding high speed testing practices and methods and qualification and high-speed PCB layout practices.Implementation of sound and advanced engineering practices. Organise and chair design reviews. Hardware Interface Control Documents and Development Specification.Leadership in generation and review of digital hardware high speed layout practices, EMI/EMC practices.Mentoring and training of entry technical personnel.Provides inputs to management regarding high speed digital design. Assist in the generation of a technology horizon plan that includes resources and high speed digital applications.General CompetenciesThe skill and ability to provide technical leadership - Demonstrate advanced skill and experience regarding high-speed digital design.Communication skill level that is clear, ensure cohesion and advance enthusiasm amongst team members, management and customers - Knowledge of best practices, engineering standards and development methodologies applicable in the defence industry.Demonstrate the ability to take ownership and responsibility for short term operations. Should be able to assist in longer term planning for the expansion of technical ability - Thorough understanding of the systems engineering process (Requirements, analysis, design, integration, verification, certification and configuration management.)ExperienceA minimum of 10 years' experience in the design of electronic digital hardware. - Knowledge of electronic digital system/subsystem design with application in the high-speed PCB layout domain.At least 3 years' experience in the application and methodology of high speed digital and EMI/EMC applications - Electronic Eng. degree. (Batchelor, Honours, Masters)Langauges: VHDL (Not verilog only need VHDL) ,C/C++Having experiance in:FPGA OEMS : AMD/Xilinx, Microchip/Microsemi, Altera/IntelAMD Xilinx: ZYNQ 7000, ZYNQ ULTRASCALE+ MPSOC, VIRTEX ULTRASCALE, KINTEX ULTRASCALE+Microchip/Microsemi/Actel : Polarfire MPF, Polarfire SOCInterface: 10G ethernet,SPI, UART, PCI express ADC,Interfaces : 10G Eth, 25G Eth, 100G Eth , PCIe, JESD204B, DDR, SPI, UART, I2C - Inyterfaces with High Speed ADCs/DACs using SERDES, JESD204B, LVDS, PARALLELTools : XIlinx Vivado, Microchip Libero, Intel QuartusZYNQ SOC - PL, PS (ARM CORTEX A9, A53)VPX Standards, VNX+, VMEHigh Speed Designs - HWDO-254 relevant to FPGA Development Though not mandatoryGood if the candidate has defense experienceJob RequirementFPGA, Microcontroller
