JOB CODE: - REPORTING TO Business Development Manager - SolarTYPE OF ROLE: Individual Contributor RoleLOCATION: Corporate Office, Mumbai.BU/ DIVISION: Professional LightingJOB PURPOSE: To prepare detailed project cost estimates for Solar EPC projectsKEY RESPONSIBILITIESPreparation and validation of BOQs, material take-offs, and cost break-upsCoordination with Design team for system sizing, layouts, and specificationsCoordination with SCM & Vendors for latest material prices and cost optimizationPreparation of tender costing, price build-up, and margin analysisSupport Sales / BD team with techno-commercial inputs for bids and proposalsAnalysis of tender documents, scope of work, and contractual requirementsCost comparison with previous projects and benchmarking for competitivenessIdentification of cost-saving opportunities and value engineering optionsSupport during price negotiations and contract finalizationPreparation of cost MIS, estimation reports, and management presentationsPost-order handover support to Projects & Execution teamsEDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONSB.E/ B.Tech (Electrical/ Mechanical/ Civil/ Renewable/ Energy); MBA/ PGDM (Operations/ Finance) preferredWORK EXPERIENCE4-8 years of experience in costing, estimation or pre-contracts for solar EPC/ Renewable Energy projectsPREFERRED/ ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTHands-on experience in cost estimation of 50–200 MWp Solar projectsExposure to Ground Mount, Rooftop, Open Access, and Utility-scale solar projectsStrong understanding of end-to-end EPC cost structures (DC, AC, BOS, civil & evacuation)Experience in both Government and C&I solar projects preferredINTERNAL / EXTERNAL INTERFACE• Business Development Engineer• Finance• Design• Tendering• Supply ChainFUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIESProject Costing & EstimationBOQ Preparation & Cost ValidationTechno-Commercial AnalysisVendor Cost BenchmarkingTender / RFP / Bid CostingCAPEX & OPEX ModellingBudgeting & Margin AnalysisStrong command over MS Excel (advanced), MS Office
